Yuzuru Hanyu

Great Romeo or the greatest Romeo? There are wrong answers. A place to wax lyrical and soliloquize about tiny Romeo #1. Ok, GO!

Tour de Tohoku (TDT) is a scenic cycling event that takes place along the coast of Miyagi prefecture - areas severely damaged by the 2011 Earthquake and Tsunami. The event raises funds to support the Tohoku recovery efforts, and also serves to introduce the Tohoku region to outsiders. In 2019, the TDT collaborated with the creators of "Yowamushi Pedal", a popular sports anime about competitive cyclists. The artists prepared a beautiful gallery of illustrations for the event, featuring Yuzuru Hanyu among the 16 well-known Pedal characters. Huge panels of the illustrations were shown around Japan (I saw them in Shinjuku Station, Tokyo) to publicize the even…

I just wanted to ask whether it is true that Yuzuru Hanyu is the first skater since Dick Button in 1951 to come back and win the world championship after finishing 5th in the first segment. Is this true?

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCACbAMaqBZs6nT7h86UdY9Q username: yyskater this is probably only wishful thinking, but there's a playlist in this acc titled "hope and legacy" and it was created months before yuzu officially announced his free program for 2016-2017. there's saved vids of monster hunter, bump of chicken, and...kara??? lmao. either way this could just be a very skilled poser...

Hello everyone! I hope it's ok to ask this here - if not, Admins please delete the post. I was looking for the new wall / paper calendar for this year / next year, does anyone know if or when it will come out? Thank you!

This web page contains full product details in English for Yuzuru Hanyu 2020-2021 figure skating season calendar - wall-mounted version. https://eyes-jp.blogspot.com/2020/07/yuzuru-hanyu-2020-2021-figure-skating.html

Among us I have seen long-time fans that follow Yuzu since junior days, as well as new ones who joined the ride after the historical free skate at Helsinki. So it makes me curious: When did everyone discover our favorite guy? (To avoid confusion for the polling, I'd like to define "discovered" as "became a fan," instead of "heard of/saw him for the first time.") And for the "how" part, please comment to share your experience of falling for →! How did you come across him and his performances? What was the first program that you watched/that made you hooked? How did you find your way to the fan community?

What would you like to watch? Any suggestions would be welcome

A discussion on the probability of Yuzuru competiting and winning his 3rd consecutive Olympic Gold at 2022 Beijing. Let the discussions and predictions heat up!

So the discussion today about LGC and PPOS made me wonder what kind of Yuzu programs do people prefer. I personally love him at his hot and fiery best and could watch him bring the passion all day in pieces like LGC and PW....but he's a master at the cool, lyrical, flowing perfection of programs such as Ballade, too. Of course, we can sit down and watch Seimei and have both at the same time. So, what 'temperature' do you hope he goes for next? Hot, or cold?

Let's answer the question once and for all, what is Planet Hanyu's favorite Yuzuru Hanyu Program? VERSUS

DECIDE THE WINNER!!

Which Chopin is the best Chopin?

Round two of our Battle of the Chopins

Let's bring them back to counter-act the withdrawal syndromes! Here a list of our previous party threads for those who are new to the planet and this concept: LWOFYPP (fave programs) 09/10 10/11 11/12 12/13 13/14 14/15 15/16 16/17 Exhibitions On this thread: Happy Sappy So we were thinking of doing a favorite prgrams streaming party first and then doing a few more season streaming parties in random order. (I am craving the 11/12 season personally!!) @cirelle suggested WR programs which I think could very well be incorporated in to a fave programs streaming party.

We're getting closer to the end, so choose wisely Which Yuzu is the absolute champion? (And will perhaps face the final boss, the winner of this other bracket.) Also, I can't believe Requiem lost

Since you guys like brackets... What's your favorite version of Chopin?! (There are so many...spanning 2014-2020 ... 😱Yuzu has been skating this program for six years!!) And to be very honest, when I watched the 2014 version, it looked absolutely nothing like the 2020 version. It could be a different program except the music, yet even that is different when you listen to it! I just watched the 2014 GPF version, and I feel like I've never seen this program before lol. Pick your fave! VERSION 1: 2017 ACI VERSION 2: 2020 4CC VERSION 3: 2015 NHK Trophy VERS…
