Yuzuru Hanyu

Wasn't sure whether to start a new thread for this or to post it in the one that says Books, Magazines and Random Findings. But I decided to start a new one cos it's always nice to see things said about him or mentions of him by others, especially when they're positive, and finding it all in one dedicated place makes it easier. Feel free to join this thread with the other if you don't agree, though. Anyway, I found this very recent interview with Grant Hochstein that I haven't seen mentioned here yet. Here's the part where he mentions Hanyu: For those of you interested in reading the full interview, it's this one here: Q&A with G…

This thread is to discuss Yuzuru's 14/15 season and organize the streaming parties. Well, this season is a little special. If it were up to me I would leave out CoC from the streaming party and I know some prefer not to watch NHK. So I want to ask you guys, shall I include those competitions or nah? If there's interest we could pause before those comps start and the ones who prefer not to watch could take a break. Eta: I'll include all competitions. Hi all!! @kaeryth had a great idea that we should have threads for past seasons to rewatch competitions, discuss protocols, and have streaming parties. The threads would be a great reference for new fans too, who might want to rewatch Yuzu's competitions from the beginning! We can have a streaming party per season per week, so I thought maybe we should start at the 2009-2010 season to the 2016-2017 season, which gives us 7 weeks of streaming parties just in time for the new season to start! Here's a doodle, please put in your availability. If there's enough interest we can do two streams to cover as many people as possible! https://doodle.com/poll…

Was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing event summaries/reports (and maybe other Yuzu/figure skating related posts) in a blog/news-like format. Not really sure what we'd exactly post about, but maybe like (1) Competition summaries, (2) quotes from members who were live at the event and their experiences, (3) analyses? We could get a page on this site for blog-like posts. Open to any suggestions if anyone is interested

Hello fellow satellites! There are no Yuzu related streaming parties this month (update: there are apparently!) so I thought we might as well make our own!! The Skater's Recollections broadcast was alot of fun to watch with everyone and there is nothing that can keep us from compiling a playlist of our own and watching it together at a set time, right? (We can try to arrange it so the most people can watch it without loosing sleep, too.) Everyone can suggest a few programs! Preferably ones that are also on youtube, so we can make a youtube playlist. ETA: I decided to divide the party into two since we have alot of material and alot of mem…
