Yuzuru Hanyu

I'm in a middle of a personal campaign to spread Hanyu amongst friends and family. Just curious how successful everyone else has been, and please share cool stories and tips!

Post pics, discuss, gush over our Space Kitty :)

This is a thread dedicated to our meme lord. "On Planet Hanyu, we don't use emoticons, we use Yuzuticons" Here's the meme album, feel free to use them here: I will update the album with more memes soon! Share yours! :s_drinks P.S. None of the images/gifs belong to me

Hello to all Yuzu fans out there! Just want to start a simple polling of what is your favourite program of Yuzu? (Simply your feeling and impression, no need to relate to technical skills, scores...) Can be FS, SP or EX! (Not all programs he has performed are included though) 2 votes per person For me will be hope and legacy now since this program represents Yuzuru himself. Before 2017 my favourite prpgram was always Phantom of the Opera. Both are really beautiful programs, and the fact that Phantom of the Opera hadn't been cleaned in that whole season was really sad to me

When I see how Yuzuru Hanyu, after having being a tricked younger brother to Javier Fernández and a tricking older brother to Shoma Uno (how could Shoma Uno even survive the "proposal" scene? ;-) ), is a kind and attentive, somehow paternal older brother to Yuma Kagiyama and Shun Sato, I think either of them would make a creditable Mowgli, Yuzuru Hanyu being in turn Baloo and Bagheera, for an exhibition program. I like so much Disney Jungle Books music, I don't think Yuzuru Hanyu has ever skated to such jazzy accents, and believe all of them would do wonders. I hope I don't shock you? Apart from Pooh-San, would you have an idea of a joint exhibition program with…

Just wanted to share what I feel watching him skate these past days at SOI. Although I was not sure what to feel with this schedule etc., but to see him skate all those programs and saw him happy sure give me warmth and place to rest after long hour of work and studies. These past days it was noticeable that yuzu improves, those beautiful butterfly jumps and exquisite hand and body movements made me remember his struggle through years to become the best skater and look at him now. Jumps that is blended into his movements. He truly is the best skater if ever there was one, truly a being that is only him.

Since it's been discussed so thoroughly I'm moving the discussion here. It deserves its own thread

Hi everyone, I’m new here ,, I’m very excited to be here its my first time to watch Yuzuru’s FS live today , I am quite sad to see that he fell twice BUT he still managed to get a high score.. I’m SO PROUD of him. He might not win a medal but it’s still a call for a celebration and he deserved a congratulations. I am starting this thread to help overseas (i.e., outside of Japan) viewers access Japanese TV channels. isakura and forjoytv are two main websites that offer fairly comprehensive access to Japanese TV channels. I personally prefer the format of forjoytv which has an easy download option, but it does not include Fujitv channels - which is where ISU World Championship events are shown. Here are the respective weblinks: http://www.isakuraiptv.com/ https://forjoytv.com/subscriptions On this thread, we can share our experiences in accessing these and other sites and avoid turning our event threads into tech supp…

Just so we keep our musings together 're our beautiful young man...this thread is for haikus, poetry, verse, limericks. .all things Yuzu ...

After thinking about it for months, researching a LOT about cognitive functions, and asking around those who are well-versed in it, I think I've finally came to the conclusion: Yuzuru Hanyu is ISFP [Fi, Se, Ni, Te] Before I go on, I'd recommend everyone to learn about cognitive functions from this site: https://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/masterposts . Cognitive function describes our preferred ways of "receiving" and "analysing" information. A successful individual will be able to utilise all functions well, but it doesn't change the fact that we often still default to our "preferences", as it is the "comfort zone" to us. The site collec…

Hi, I can't seem to find this clip where I think Yuzu asked audience since when have they become his fans or startd to like him. He started mentioning his eras/programs through mic (i think he mntioned r&j first) and asked audience to cheer on loudly when he said the right answer - he was shocked so many people cheered on r&j lmao Someone please help, It will haunt me If I don't find the answer or this clip

Hi Satellites, As @Perelandra has said in the main thread, we have decided to present this project to you all to convey our love and support to Yuzu in his new adventure as a professional athlete. The project will be to send him a book with photos and small texts* of encouragement from all those who want to participate. These are the requirements: Photos: 1 or 2 photos of maximum quality and not too dark Keep in mind that the photographs will be printed, so the higher the quality, the better. But if it is not possible, from experience with this application I know that the result is not too bad…

I'd just like to make sure if the Phiten necklaces Yuzu wears are just sponsors or if he actually favours them since a long time ago? There are 2 Phiten necklaces Yuzu wears (mirror ball & chopper), which one does he wear more often? (both are soooo~ expensive TAT)

Hi all, fyi I just read this article https://www.ntv.co.jp/24h/articles/60vs5x7k7nn4n4mtjh.html and below tweet of Yuzu's upcoming appearance! Translation of the below tweet: [#24HoursTV #I miss you] This year again! #Yuzuru Hanyu is on the show! The torrential rain in western Japan hit Hiroshima and other cities. Yuzuru Hanyu will interact with high school students who were affected at that time. Yuzuru Hanyu will interact with the high school students affected by the disaster. And after turning pro, Yuzuru Hanyu will perform for the first time on TV! Yuzuru Hanyu will perform for the first time on TV! The ice show will not …
