Plus, we can be sure without it it's not enough anyway, he knows this. And he probably wouldn't be here without it. So let's just stay calm and enjoy it. I panicked before, now I'm super calm, he's gonna do what he's gonna do 2 hours ago, robin said: When I first got into Yuzu, we’re talking winter of 16/17, the fandom would infantilize Yuzu a lot. Tbf that was the season Yuzu had a lot of trouble mentally with getting his new combinations and jumps consistent (4Lo and 4S3T) and wasn’t known to rest when he should. I think back then I stressed more about the COD (combo of doom aka 4S3T) than I stress about his 4A now. LOL we would also stress so much about his starting order because he usually fessed up when he skated 2. in his group?? All those worries are forgotten now. Yuzu has come so far. Yeah his 4A isn’t comp ready (you can’t expect miracles in less than 2 months since nats) and it also wasn’t ready when he attempted it at Jnats. Let the boy do what he wants. He already has 2 OGMs. His express goal for even skating the past 4 years has been the 4A. I’m more concerned about him staying safe and healthy. Yes he will attempt it and let’s give him all the support he needs. While he is fighting to fulfill his childhood dream, 4A, while he is fighting to save his love, FS, from falling into the hands of figure jumping, while he is fighting for the gold medal for his country, while he is fighting for his people from all over the world to continue competing, he is now here more for us than for just himself. If the General at the frontline is going to fight the battles, his armies will stand with him to fight, to defend, to cry, to tear, to laugh and bear the results no matter what. It is a very scary and tough journey, and people cant run away but unite together to win and protect the homeland. Trust him. Trust his decisions. Have faith in God 🙏🏻 Yuzu, even if you may not read this, yes all are watching, and are cheering for you and ourselves. Stay healthy and happy for the short program tomorrow! ps Your new knitted tissue box is very nice! I just know you will find new ways out no matter what the different challenges are, including having pooh-san along!

February 7, 20224 yr what if he did land it but he doesn't want to swho his cards 👀 i get a feeling he did land it in private already, just not as consistently as he would like. just my speculation ...
February 7, 20224 yr I caught up with this thread and... Woah ...ngl I worried slightly at first as I read the comments on Yuzu's jumps in practice (and how he seemed to hold back (that, or he isn't completely energized, I mean he just arrived yesterday...)) and yeah the talk about scoring potential worried me too, but after I heard his response in a few after practice interviews I decided to just trust him (I mean, isn't that what I've done all along as I follow his skating journey?). If he says he felt good at his practice, then I am glad for that. Now hoping that everything in regards to Yuzu goes smoothly

Oh he will. He's been working on 4Lz. Probably will put it out there next season. If Yuzu is not around next season I won't too. In a sense, I'm happy because then I won't have to see his 4Flutz getting skyhigh GOE and never-ending praises and fake claim that it is of higher quality than Yuzu's true 4Lz. Pretty sure he will put out there the 4Floop as well. His father encourages it.

He was in 5th place, never did H&L clean!! All we did was believe in him, trust his abilities and pray very very hard!!!! He performed a true HOPE & LEGACY program!! I'm his fan since 2014, and been watching him live all competitions since!! He never backs down!! No matter what crazy decision he decide on!! We just have to tie our heart tight to our bones and back him up I know we don't do much, but believing in him and praying is all we could (and fight for him in social media) I have health issues those last two years due to stress, and die every time i watch him but I'll still support him and watch until his last match, no matter the results!! Let's trust in him -but don't trust his words-. he's a troll!!

He needs the mileage on the 4A and he is getting the opportunity to do so, and if the olympics just happened to be along the way that's just the way it is. His gritty determination is what has got him this far and survive all the pressure without losing his integrity! Giving in to changing the layout in order to "win" would not be his style. In any case, he looks to be in great shape and his other quads look so easy now. I would be happy to go along this wild ride in whatever direction it may take us, and sometimes it may not be all roses and rainbows but that's part of the joy of travelling with Yuzu. Regarding the 3F, he always used to have 3F in his 2 quad free program before 2018 so he knows ver well how to integrate that jump into the program. I absolutely agree. If the situation were such that figure skating is still judged and scored fairly, then we could say that it might be smarter to not take too much of a risk and go a safer route to ensure an as good as possible outcome. In a world with fair scoring, Yuzu should be miles ahead even if he goes clean with just three quads of two types or even just two quads in the FS. But that is obviously not the case. During the last couple of years, it has become clear that the ISU, US fed, and judges put Nathan on the pedestal as their chosen one. Their bias in favor of him has gotten so bad that even if he makes obvious mistakes, he still gets high scores. Yuzu tried to catch up to this ridiculous quad race game and it turned out that no matter what he did, it didn't matter because they already had decided who would be their champion. Even I as a fan went through so much resentment over how Yuzu was robbed and Nate was showered with undeserved candies again and again. I can't even imagine how Yuzu must've felt to be disregarded, discarded, and disrespected like that. The message the ISU wants to send him is clear: we don't want you anymore. I'm so grateful Yuzu started to take a different approach and stop vying for their approval. He still competes and as long as he competes, he will be judged and scored. But now he doesn't try everything he can to try to please the judges anymore. He knows that doesn't work anyway. No matter how he tried to play their game, they still screwed him over. Now he plays his own game. And if his own game involves landing a 4A at the Olympics even if it might still be a bit shaky, then so be it. Making history is not an easy feat and never has been. If it were easy, everybody could do it. It takes outstanding mental, emotional, and physical strength and balance to achieve history making goals. It takes extraordinary courage, determination, perseverance, grit, and vision to do things no one has ever done before and go to places no one has ever been before. No one has ever carved their name into the history of any sport by playing it safe and not taking great risks. Besides, the 4A has been Yuzu's dream since he was a child. That's his personal motivation to achieve it. He doesn't do it to win competitions or get high scores (which wouldn't make sense anyway because of the outrageously low BV). He's pursuing it to make his own dream come true. And if he has the chance to make his dream come true on the biggest stage and he wants to take it, then, by all means, he should go for it. And this is one of the reasons why there are so many people in the world who love and admire Yuzu. He doesn't hold back. He doesn't play it safe. He doesn't just do the bare minimum. He isn't afraid to be and show his true self and do his own thing, no matter what other people might think or say. This is his life, his career, his performance. He can do whatever he chooses. No matter what he should decide to do, I always support him and look forward to see more of the sheer divine skating he does.
