  1. They did him a phantom UR, didn't they?! if i remember at the first season with the new rules.. Edit: No, I checked and it was 2019 Autumn Classic Canada, but when they asked him about it he was confident about the quality of his jumps and brushed it off.. lol.. Edit 2: Now that i'm checking 2019 news.. he said then that he landed the 4F 3 times back then and we celebrated him landing it before NHK!! lol.. He also jumped a 5T on his second try with a Harness!!
  2. I asked this question before too.. and a fan told me he can't because of rules!! You can only jump one Axel in SP.. but it's either 2A or 3A!!!! Unfortunately this fan erased her account so i can't look for her reply!!! But I'm sure there are ppl here who knows the rules too..and can enlighten us..
  3. I'm not really worried about Hanyu kun, he's experienced and a strategist he's going there as Uesugi Kenshin.. and as you pointed, Hanyu has this charisma and aura that makes ppl attracted to him!! Brian Orser, his coach noticed this too.. he said when he enters the rink, all other coaches watch him!! Even if they pretended they don't!! He said he observes this and noticed some watch him more than their own skaters.. haha.. It's the same for the ppl in the rink and the media!! I feel sorry for other skaters.. but it's his special gift he has!! I'm sure alot will be attracted to his skating there! But what I mean is if they will bring spectators, they should bring ppl who know the sport and love it, and put a little pressure on the judges!! Otherwise if they want to take measures against Covid, they might as well do it like Tokyo Olympic!! That's just my opinion..
  4. Haha.. same!! Although I became a fan immediately.. I enjoyed the first year.. I watched whole competitions.. mens, ladies and even tried to watch pairs!! But because of my curious nature for things I like; it was ruined fast saw and heard about bias and corruption.. at first it didn't bother me.. especially fans who claimed JSF was biased against Hanyu.. I thought no way!!! But gradually I learned rules from experienced fans and some Japanese programs, and I started to see the corruption and bias my self!! Now I only watch Hanyu live!! Too nervous to watch men before him and too excited to focus on men after him And stopped watching ladies.. cause it really makes me angry every damn time -____- after the event I go and watch my faves without even seeing the scores!
  5. I know.. but as a fan it doesn’t make sense to me!! I’m not in China, & i don’t know much of the situation there!! But i still hope they let fans attend!! I would feel bad if i missed this chance to attend if i were them!! Also, FS is not an easy sport to understand!! Imagine clueless ppl watching the event without knowing what’s happening!! It’s like a present given to the corrupted isu & judges 😐 I know they will cheat anyway, but the only pressure they will feel is the live audience!? They might as well bring robots to clap!! 😶
  6. As I follow him in many platforms, I often see what the J media also say about him.. unfortunately, a faction in Japan in a specific prefecture really hate him -___- among them are judges, officials, writers..etc!! Good thing you don't know.. : ) it's better for your health!! And yes I don't follow any US media and are all blocked or muted!! But they still appear cause fans talk about it and discuss it!! But.. yes.. i'm very thankful that he came back strong!! That's why through all the years I try to stay positive regarding him, hoping he does better, praying for him.. but I still won't forgive ISU & JSF and their clowns never!!!
  7. This doesn't make sense much to me, cause what if those qualified ppl got Covid anyway!! Isn't it better to sell tickets but put high measures like quarantine and negative Covid test before entering!? As fans will be more cautious not to get infected once they get the tickets!!! They wouldn't want to miss the event!!
  8. I became a fan of Hanyu since Sochi 2014, and yes because of an interview that led me to see his SP PW!! My reaction then was I send the video to my siblings group immediately and told them look at this amazing guy!! He's something else!! -result my sister is almost a fan lol-. Since Sochi, I watched Hanyu so closely, I watched every competition live -well on screen sob-. I saw all his interviews, footages and so on.. The four years after Sochi were so hard on Hanyu & us with all the injuries, operation, flu & asthma!! But honestly what happened after Pyeongchang is far worst!! The way they treated him and scored him.. even with no mistakes they would create phantom mistakes.. the way jsf treated him in Nationals in 2019, and their media.. they were so keen to make him a fallen champion.. but they all failed!! He destroyed all their hopes one year later. I'll never forgive ISU, judges, JSF and part of FujiTV for what they did to him.. I hope he's better now and overcomes all this!! And does his very best ever in the coming competition.
  9. JSF are dead!! And it's a waste of time hitting the dead (proverb from my region.. or close)!! Hanyu's case of underscoring is too obvious for a normal viewer!! But the judging system is such a mess especially in the ladies!! It's unbearable to watch international competitions anymore!! I skip the ladies totally.. the only one i watched recently was Japan Nationals!! Nothing was lowered though as much as the 4A!!! -__-
  10. Totally agree with this. I don't watch NC, but the bits of news that appear on my timeline, he's only focusing on landing jumps, not even jumping them perfectly. I think once SB did his SP choreo, and he found it very difficult!? While mentally when you enter a rink, and you know the judges are waiting for you to do just one mistake to tear your score apart!! You will end up making one. Especially that Hanyu's programs are packed.. one negative thought or hesitation might end up making a mistake!! Hanyu also said he knows the judges that don't like him, so imagine entering the rink and seeing their faces there -___- After they changed the scoring system and made it stretchable - not to reward skills but to backup feds fave- Hanyu was confused and for a little while lost confidence, but then -thankfully to who ever was there for him- he came back strong and said that he trusts his skills. And the best think is he stuck to his own style of skating and belief.
  11. Magazine looks very tempting but I stopped buying them as my Hanyu shelf is so crowded already!!! I'll wait for the photo books instead by the end of the season!!
  12. Noooo.. -although i can watch Hanyu on mute too - but it makes a lot of difference and add excitement and story.. For me Hanyu is the only one who follows the music -or the music follows him- precisely!! There are many others I like but not like him, but close.. and there's a lot who -the music is there and they- are just doing their program within the time, just like a gold fish in a tank!! You're right, it should be rewarded.. but the bias or I think the judges now don't care much about it.. maybe they don't have time, as there are many other elements to judge within minutes.. and they just put a random number if the music is their liking or not.. Thank you for your patience & opinions I hope a third party develops an AI system soon with the help and advice of the king of ice
  13. And be independent from feds and have good salaries, no volunteers!! Can't we sacrifice this 15% and omit it just to get rid of the judges.. This new system was developed to help corruption and bias!! And no one can object on the judges decisions!! The minute they said the new system will rewards skill and artistry, I knew they were lying!! They cheated in the previous system, but it was not stretchable enough to beat Hanyu every time!!
  14. Maybe if Chinese fans asked, they can do it in the Olympic, by adding safety methods to do it.. i don't know.. but then they need flower boys and girls, that's risky!! Maybe let a special zamboni gather them!!
  15. Thank you for replying & information Your suggestion is really interesting; but in case AI was introduced, isn't it better to get rid of the judges totally I lost trust in them!! Like number 3, 4 & 5 can be done by AI, can it?! I feel like 1, 2, 6 & 7 will be totally ignored by the judges when it comes to favorites, and can use it against weaker feds!! And it should be judged by a specialist (musician?) but even this there would be bias!! If there were sensors in the skater's blade & part of the body, can't AI do all?
  16. I'm a bit tired from twitter, so i might spend more time here I'm sorry to see two great translators go!! It's always like that!! One or few ppl ruin it for the general kind!! I'm in another fandom and I've seen similar thing happen again and again!! We should appreciate translators because they are doing it out of kindness and for free, spending a huge amount of their private time!! Or else either stay clueless in the fandom or learn the language yourself!! I did the latter, but Japanese is not an easy language to learn and understand by yourself!! I can understand basic conversations.. but still grateful to translators who can explain specific word or term, or even a cultural point!! Hope both will calm down and come back because both love Yuzuru so much!! Anyway.. -I'm not an expert in rules and scoring- but I wanted to know wouldn't it be more efficient to score each step and transition individually!? Like the more transitions you have the more points you get?! Won't this force skaters to refine their skating skills?! -there may be a case of loading but won't that effect their other elements like jumps and spins so they would put what they reasonably can perform!! I know ISU will never do that though they only want to gift medals to strong feds!!
  17. Hi!! This is my first time writing here!! Omedetou with the Hanyu Forum & good luck!! I knew Hanyu a little before the Olympics, before him I was interested in Mao, and following her I found out about him!! -I found these two have a lot in common regarding personality-. When he performed his FB in Sochi, I was new to the rules.. and I thought aaaah.. he fell so he must have lost!! And his reaction to winning is so memorable to me, it was like a dream: "I'm the first? I'm the first? Oh my God"!! Lol.. I had this same puzzled reaction too.. I had no idea why he won but why not!! Let's celebrate!!! XD -I learned after that rules, and the Japanese programs explained very well why he won-..
