Poor man. And free to come. I dare not even think about it if he has issues again. And he probably will :13877886:

:angrypooh: What kind of people...?! Fight me!

I know he's not completely there yet but I have to say he's my favourite Russian male skater. The Australian commentators described him as macho, which made me lololol, because, to me anyway, when he's not being made to do stupid Elvis nonsense, he has a charming gentleness that seems rare among the Russian men. Perhaps that's also part of why he has a difficult time recovering from mistakes, too. Ahhhhh, I so want him to do well. :dpooh:

I'm so sorry for Misha :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid: it'a not like he bombed on purpose, he must be feeling awful enough, more so because there is the team medal at stake and he knows that. He must be blamng himself so much:tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid: I hope people close to him are kind :10742288: he seems someone who easily loses confidence and this is a hard blow:tumblr_inline_ncmiffG34Z1rpglid:

will he skate the free too? Or will they heap the responsability on Dima?

I'm not sure, but taking into account Tarasova is slightly injured and Alina will most likely skate the free, it looks like Misha even doesn't have a chance to get a change.

I feel so sorry for him. He is always acting shy and polite. And he expresses himself so simply and sincere in the interviews.

Ah, Misha, if he wants to read anything on the Internet at all after that, I hope he comes here and gets the well wishes and the virtual hugs. His 4Lz is still incredible until the landing, and he can land it if he can get out of his head. It's not like he hasn't done it. I hope he goes into the free without being weighed down by all this. The Olympics isn't the be all and end all of everything.

The thought of that cheerful young man who does that ex being under so much pressure makes me think this isn't worth it. :/

if you wanna watch some of the men sp with cbc (i think) commentary, grab it before it gets deleted

Messing is practicing for team? Wow.

Poor Mikhail. He was terrible, but everyone was terrible. Hope he can re group and ignore the critics. I am sure he feels bad enough all by himself.

So excited for tonight... or morhing for those of you half a world away...

He'll skate the free too, he showed up for team practice and did a free RT (don't look how that went, trust me on this one) and I don't think Dima's even in Japan yet. Sigh.

I don't think the team event is worth anything. As many have said, figure skating is an individual sport (except for synchro).

The poor performances are likely a combination of having to execute the most difficult jumps under Olympic -level pressure.

I hate Olympic years.

I hope he realizes that outside of Russia, he's very well loved by plenty. Seriously, he's got a lot of potential, but he needs to do it at his own pace-and it's sad that a fed is insisting on that (honestly I don't think even chinese fed forces it that much).

The true sadness of this entire story is that it wasn't Mika or his team who forced the Lz to happen, it was the Fed insisting. At that time, it was around 50-50 at practice so including it was madness, especially for a jump of that difficulty. But they pushed anyway. I don't know, I would have refused and to hell with it all. Sal as well but at least that seemed out though he was practicing it again right now. Overall, the practice was not good. I feel so sorry for the guy because he could blow mentally and never truly recover, nor reach his full potential, which is considerable.

And Russian fed will finish the job by breaking Aliev and forcing us to endure Samarin. Meanwhile Voronov was ready to go.

Mika’s relationship with Valentina seems lovely, but maybe he needed a more powerful coach to insist on the best plan for him.

I'd noticed this before but I'm very surprised at the Canadian judge's PCS for Nathan compared to PChiddy.
