I genuinely wonder how all of that will end because the conversation is already happening and his example is seriously glaring but he's not the only person who has that issue. 

Lol how have we ended dissecting edges?  (tho I agree that the first pick could look flat, but Alice's shows it is definitely a correct edge. Tho iirc once Nathan has got a ! on his flip this season,  but we have seen lots of flips with wrong calls since ACI so maybe  that one was the same. I wonder why tech panels haven't been as eager to call e and ! on Lutz instead)

Anyway, re: reasons of splatting

Patrick is a veteran and has all the rights to complain about the schedule, but he has a tradition of...let's say "sharing the blame", so we had in the past all his comments about bad ice and now about bad schedule. Nathan had none of that, I admire his poise. US media, on the contrary...They should seriously rethink their hyping strategy and leave their skaters a little room to breath.

 

Re: rumour about Nathan's swollen ankle 

in the other place ff there is still no mention of that tweet,  so I'm inclined not to be too worried right now. (unless non-fanyus are slower catching any wisp of news?)

At least Yuzuru won't get any phantom ! calls on his Flip this time around? I'm trying to find some plus to this entire mess....

i thought you're not supposed to get deep inside edge for flip.... nathan's edge was fine. i think you can see the trace/trajectory of the left blade to know if its inside or not

 

anyway, i heard that a lot of ppl blame kolyada n generally seems pretty harsh to him  i hate olympics. also i wish us media leave nathan alone and let him concentrate.

Yes, you're not suppose to get a deep inside edge for the flip, in fact you nearly go straight until the last minute (fairly similar requirement as the salchow). Also, it's better to check the back view for flips/lutzes. If anything, I would wonder if Nate's flip edge was more inside than normal, because his landing did not look good-supposedly for the salchow and the flip, if you don't control your inside edge enough (keeping it very shallow, nearly flat), you get a wobbly jump, and his landing was very flat, no flow and an audible scratch (at least it was for the cctv5 broadcast)

 

And I'm pretty pissed at media in general. I woke up to rinkmates talking about the falls and had to yell at people. T_T Not a good thing before I have coffee.
