Does anyone have links to videos? So far I've only found Patrick's... I missed the StSq in Jun Hwan's skate and the K&C :tumblr_inline_ncmif7esGm1rpglid:

No wonder no 4lutz.. poor kid

I was wondering about his 4Lz since nationals. It was his most stable jump in the beginning of the season so I found it weird he was dropping it.Hope it is not too bad and he can perform well in the individual event.

I am feeling really sorry for him, he deserves better than the way the media is treating him

And this is the third quad lutz related injury we've had this season :sad4:

I’ve been wondering too. And there was Raf’s cryptic talk at SA.

ETA: But same as with all Yuzu news, waiting for other confirmation.

gosh, still cursed season, I see:slinkaway:

If it's true, I really hope it's not something serious :tumblr_inline_n18qr5AMus1qid2nw: And I hope it's not some injury Nathan had back at US Nats when he downgraded his layout, because if so it was irresponsible to make him jump so many quads then (and he didn't even needed them), and make him do so many quads now. Flip is still picked from the right foot, just like the Lutz. And if Nathan wasn't 100% physically before they arrived in PC, US team should have made someone else skate in the team event and let Nathan rest for the individuals, they have all the skaters, so they could afford all the switching they want.

Also, hasn't Nathan landed one 4Lz during practice in PC too?

Although I'm not a fan of Nathan's skating, I have to give him props for not making excuses for having a bad skate. Unlike Patrick, who is apparently blaming his disaster on the "early start."

I haven’t seen it in Jackie’s reports. I have been keeping an eye on Nathan’s jump reports to see if he did the Lutz, but I could’ve missed it. There were a lot of Flips tho.

Yeah, that was the only 4Lz Nathan did in the past 3 official practices.

It's still an unconfirmed rumour but I'm not sure if he has a swollen ankle, it is something that came from Nationals. It's been a few weeks. It's possible it could be a more recent issue. At Nationals it might have just been because his consistency with it wasn't going well: he did a few 4Lz at Nationals practices, contrary to here, where there was only that one.

We'll have to see if he brings it back in future practices, which will mean he should be fine.

Otherwise, though, this is a cursed season indeed.

That looks flat? But I’m okay with letting it go. Not trying to start an inquisition since we at least know he’s capable of correct edges.

In the morning, I'll try to look at images for correct inside edge for comparison. Cz I think Zu's inside edge on his 3Fs also looks like that.

Also, definitely not outside, as some of us thought it was.

It looks baaaaarely inside edge  :slinkaway: the other screenshot didn't look like an inside edge to me but in this one i can see it.

Flip's definition itself is slight inside edge, not deep inside edge, no?

ETA: I cannot believe I am defending Chen. I just thought it was really inside.

yeah but i can see the confusion. It did look flat from the other angle.

Eh, I'm not a fan of Nathan at all, but that edge looks fine to me. It's not a Lutz where it's a very deep edge, for  a a flip it's supposed to be a very slight inside edge, almost a flat. Now, it's not like I can jump a flip myself, but apparently it's pretty hard to control it if the edge is very deep.
