2018 Worlds - Milano (Tickets)

I was sitting on the short side (ice level) for the men's LP in Helsinki, where Yuzu jumped the 4Lo, the 4S-3T and the 3A-2T (the 3F wasn't that far away from us either). The view was really good. There was a crane camera on the left side of the judges but it didn't really disturb me. It was probably disturbing for people sitting in balcony levels of the long side of the rink.

I was thinking that it might be good, thank you for confirming! :kitty:

Thank you for all your tips! :thankyou:

If only one could be at all sides of the arena at once. Just to be able to take in the performances from all possible angles.

Another advantage of having open practices, which Milan will have, is you can sit at different areas for different practices.

My impressions from Helsinki: I sat in row 6 on the judges side, but way off the center. Not entirely in the corner but almost. It was quite good, but: my view was obstructed by judges and the boards at moments. What I disliked the most was that the view was too much like on tv: the skaters were partially framed by the ice, partially by the boards and partially by the audience - the latter being a bit of a problem for me because if the skaters wore darker costumes, I couldn't see their upper body as well as if they were framed just by  the ice (that included Yuzuru). Basically, I thought my seats in row 14 at GPF Barcelona a bit closer to the center had been better.

Hi there!

I would like to attend Worlds 2018 but will only be able to attend men's free and dance's free on Saturday. Do you know if it's possible to buy tickets for only one event at the time? I don't seem to find my way aroudn this site... Thank you for the information :pbow:

Yes, as @liha said, tickets will be sold later, the organizers told me that they will start selling the single tickets from around September.

Do you have any idea how much cheaper it is to buy all event ticket ? If I arrive, say, on wednesday at Worlds, is it better to have the all event ticket, or to buy the individual tickets ?

Generally speaking, it most likely will always be cheaper to buy an all-event ticket compared to buying all the included tickets separately. On Monday and Tuesday you would only miss practices. So if you attend all the other events starting from Wednesday, then in all likelihood it should still be cheaper with an all-event ticket than with separate tickets. It kind of always depends on how many events you plan to actually go to. If you buy an all-event ticket but skip some events, then you might have been better off with individual tickets.

It's impossible to tell how prizes are going to be for Milan, but if you want, you can do the math yourself for previous events :) Here's the price list they had for Helsinki. (for Monday and Tuesday calculate 25€/day for practices, for Wednesday to Saturday calculate 15€/day for practices, and then add all the individual prices for each event. All-Event 8 didn't include the gala, All-Event 9 included the gala)

Thank you so much !!!! It's exactly the kind of info I was looking for :)

Also : are the cheapest tickets really bad or are they still okay ?

In Helsinki, balcony 2 all-event tickets (gala included) cost overall 65€ cheaper than balcony 2 individual tickets.

I didn't do the math for balcony 1/ice level 1 and 2, because it included the practice tickets too.

We still have to wait for the individual ticket prices for Milan, but if you'd like to attend all the 8+1 events there, then it will most likely worth to buy all-event tickets rather than individual ones.

Cheapest tickets are usually okay, but it is definitely more enjoyable to watch the events on the ice level seats.

Well, in Helsinki there people wanting to buy a ticket even before the very event, standing in front of the door with a sign "I'll buy a ticket" so if someone buys an all-event, it'd possible to sell one event later on.

I've already got all-event but since I didn't find Dance all that great in Helsinki, I'm already thinking of selling Dance ones, at least Short Dance, if someone will want an expensive seat. And if Milan sends me an electronic ticket later on, because as of right now I'm supposed to pick them up at the box office.

I love Ice Dance, but it was Very Difficult in Helsinki to really pay attention to the FD. All I wanted to do was celebrate and chat Yuzu's gold medal 🥇 (and Shoma and Boyang's medals!). I think I spent more time with my eyes on my iphone than watching the ice dance pairs.

And the current schedule for Milan is the same...
