I learned long ago to never pay a lot of money again for just one guy (back then I would go to TV stars conventions who would always cancel at the last minute due to work commitments, sigh). So I am only doing this because it's Worlds. I will love a lot of skaters. ;-)

It's not that I'm paying for just one guy - in Helsinki I enjoyed others too (like Jason, Misha Ge, Boyang, Shoma etc.), the overall level of competition was great, but without Yuzu I'll just go back to visiting GP event in my hometown every year, cuz I have other not so cheap interests besides FS )))

Alright I am convinced that he is going and next thing I know I am checking hotels and I am like:ohno:

Don't even bother with the ones in the Forum area. Overpriced and booked full.

I want to visit Ferrari museum in Modena (Maranello) but it's not very close to Milan so it will depend on how many days I will be able to take for this vacation.

I liked Torino when I was there, also Bologna is not very far by train.

I heart Modena. Never been to the museum, but I could probably still find my way to the Panini factory... by bike, even!

I learned to count to umpteen in Italian while in an outdoor swimming pool with a friend when I was twelve. Good memories!

I wonder what the skater hotel will be.  Anyone have any ideas?

Presumably one of those big ones at or near the Forum. Even before Helsinki it was almost impossible to still book a room there.

Milan is pretty much my only hope to see Yuzu next season (mayyyybe TdF, too, but I'd rather go to Milan). I'm going to prioritize and get good mens FS and SP tickets, maybe a gala ticket, depending on the prices. (Who am I kidding I will definitely end up going to the gala even if that means buying a ticket a few hours before the actual event.)

You'd probably still have to drink yourself in a coma to get your money's worth, in which case you'd probably not get to enjoy your fabulous seats all that much  but that would surely be a fancy way to binge drink  :hand:

This is exactly what happened to me during 4CC. Good thing I was only watching it on TV.

That's why I'm wanting to put in a reservation (with free cancellation) asap. Lol

At the skaters hotel, I presume? You can try looking into the Royal Garden, the H2C Milano Fiori, or the  NH Milano Congress Centre, but they'll probably already be booked full and/or very expensive.

edit: of course, there's nothing to keep the ISU from having reserved some hotel in the city itself or elsewhere easily reachable by car...

I know.  There's so many hotels that could be it's impossible to know.  I've been thinking about how I could sneak that information.  Haha.

They told me in Helsinki that they will start selling single tickets around September.

I'm planning to go to Milan, and I will probably buy single tickets. I'd like to get better places for the Men and Ladies, and cheaper ones for Ice Dance  or Pairs (I might skip one of those, because I've never been to Milan before and it would be nice to do some sightseeing)-

Oh, thanks for the info! :bliss-smiley:

Same for me! This is so expensive!  Hopefully there will be non VIP all-event packages at a better price. :fingerscrossed:

And I am also hoping/praying that Yuzuru won't stop after the Olympics.

I didn't sign up for the e-mail, but my friend did. She didn't receive an e-mail neither.

But they told us that they'll start selling the regular all-event tickets one month after the VIP all-event tickets.

I signed up for the e-mail but I'm still waiting for some e-mail from the organizing team and the official website to be finally working...I'm updating it like thousand times every day ahahah :devilYuzuf: any progress about that tho...

But I'm focused on applying as volunteer bc I live in Italy and I would like to try a different experience this time, so good luck to all of you for tickets and wish me the same to enter the volunteers team!!! :text-line-smiley-123:

Good luck the the volunteering!

Thank you all for your replies it gives me the image I can make it to Milan with cheaper tickets and no need to buy right now.

I am planning to drag my sister along (who is also a FS fan but not a fully hearted Yuzu fan ) and I cannot pay for both of us.

It should definitely get cheaper than this! We'll just have to be patient some more... sigh.

Yes, I recently went back and looked at the old Worlds 2016 site and Boston VIP tickets were even more expensive than this!  As mentioned above, something like $2300!

Mid-level regular all-event were $697 I think (something like that), so was Helsinki, so I imagine similar tickets for Milan will be around $700 also.
