LOL I remember in Boston a GLASS of Barefoot wine was $8...and I'm pretty sure a whole bottle of Barefoot wine doesn't even cost that much. Lol

Drinking a few hundred euros worth in wine would still be a feat (especially for me since I don't like wine. And I very likely wouldn't survive it to drink that amount of money in vodka :-p)

In Helsinki I had to pour out my water bottle before I went inside... to make sure I wasn't smuggling in vodka? :5918bda562ff6_0001(3):

But in Helsinki you could buy a cup for tea/coffie for 3 euros and drink from it the whole day  not that anybody checked how many times you refill it

You'd probably still have to drink yourself in a coma to get your money's worth, in which case you'd probably not get to enjoy your fabulous seats all that much  but that would surely be a fancy way to binge drink  :hand:

Yeah, I prefer to have an open-bar in my room in the hotel/apartment  Ah, I love Italian wine and I love all my vacations in Italy so I really hope Yuzu will go to this WC after OG :snonegai:

Yeah, fingers crossed and all that. There'll be loads of other skaters I also want to see, but Yuzu is the icing on the cake. Also, I just don't want to be stuck with all those Pooh bears if he's not there.

Italy is a nice place for a holiday, especially since it won't be summer-time (I've sworn to never go back in summer, and I'm holding to that).

Somehow I just cannot see him not going, and the sole reason for that is Worlds 2019 in Japan. I think there'll be some sense of obligation on his part to at least try and help Japan keep three spots for that championship (especially if he plans to make that championship his last). They're not gonna want to solely rely on Shoma... although I think Shoma could probably pull it off! )

Does anyone know when single tickets will become available?

This might be my first time going to an actual competition so I feel very lost :confused0003:

They told me in Helsinki that they will start selling single tickets around September.

I'm planning to go to Milan, and I will probably buy single tickets. I'd like to get better places for the Men and Ladies, and cheaper ones for Ice Dance  or Pairs (I might skip one of those, because I've never been to Milan before and it would be nice to do some sightseeing)-

I agree.  I can't see him skipping.  He will feel obligated, and Shoma alone cannot get 3 spots.  I guess Keiji (or whoever makes it) could scrape 13 spots but...is it good to risk that?  NO.

They also told us in Helsinki that they will send us an email in about 2 weeks :coffee: Two, seven, never. I don't speak Italian, so maybe those things all sound very alike

Well, I like some other skaters too but only for Yuzu I'm willing to pay all this money really)) And there're some places near Milan I also want to visit (+Italian food and wine :party0021: )

Don't know about 2019 but I think as long as Yuzu is healthy he will not skip a competition even if it is post-OG event. But I hope we will know WC-team at least at Nationals.

p.s. I just booked a hostel room....just in case :whistling:

I learned long ago to never pay a lot of money again for just one guy (back then I would go to TV stars conventions who would always cancel at the last minute due to work commitments, sigh). So I am only doing this because it's Worlds. I will love a lot of skaters. ;-)

and hey, I had a place booked even before the Forum was announced as the location at Helsinki. It never hurts to be prepared.

I didn't sign up for the e-mail, but my friend did. She didn't receive an e-mail neither.

But they told us that they'll start selling the regular all-event tickets one month after the VIP all-event tickets.

Where else will you visit? I was just looking and Lake Como and Bergamo are interesting. But the weather in March isn't great, it seems. Foggy and chilly.

Alright I am convinced that he is going and next thing I know I am checking hotels and I am like:ohno:

Just checked the event dates, actually quite feasible for me as it is prior to month-end:text-line-smiley-065:

I want to visit Ferrari museum in Modena (Maranello) but it's not very close to Milan so it will depend on how many days I will be able to take for this vacation.

I liked Torino when I was there, also Bologna is not very far by train.
