It seems they still don't sell single event tickets

They used pretty pictures in Yuzu's biography :goe:

I would appreciate an information about prices of single tickets, so I could start planning my budget for the trip

That's good news, I almost had a heart attack and was ready to rush home to buy them when I saw that the website was finally up :animal0019:

Okay, that must be a mistake, surely. It says that the Practices on days 3,4,5,6 (!!!) are all open to the public, that is, the whole day.... *rolls eyes*

Not A Chance.

As if there'd even *be* Practices on day 6 during the Gala itself and during competitions in the main rink. And I doubt very very very much there'll be space for the public at any practice rink.

Autumn.

"As well as other types of packages, “Single Event” tickets and tickets for the training sessions open to the public will also go on sale soon."

It'll probably still be Autumn, though.

Hey everyone - I'm going to need a lot of help on this as a clueless Australian and new figure skating fan :13877886: The plan is that I will be studying on exchange in Europe in roughly mid-Feb or March - the location is to be determined but will be one of the following if I get in: The Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Denmark or Sweden. I'd want to travel down to Milan and stay a few days to go sightseeing as I've never been to Italy...but be back in time for class (most likely from 22 - 27 March) :sadPooh:

On my budget (money and time-wise) I'll probably only be looking to watch one to two events (Mens FS OR the gala, most likely).

A couple of questions (I've read through the thread but I'm sorry if I missed the answer somewhere)

1) How feasible will it be to get single ticket seats to, say, the Mens FS in October/November? Will they be sold out really fast? What's the rough price point? I will try and get decent seats but in the end, I just want to be in the arena!

2) If I can only afford one event, which should I go for? (Mens FS/Gala) I'm tempted to go to the Gala since I get to see more skaters (including the ladies!) but I guess I'm keen to see competition!mode Yuzu (fingers crossed he goes T__T)

3) How easy is it to sell tickets in the event you can't make it? (and where?) I'm thinking of buying a second ticket, but I don't know if there will be anyone who wants to go with me yet lol. Not sure if it's worth the hassle of trying to sell it if I can't find a companion.

Thanks for your help guys~

I am 80% sure the farthest seats never completely sell out. I bought Helsinki tickets one month before, and there were stills a bit more seats left to sell.

I guess, if you want to sit in the first floor, and not the balcony... you have to try and be quick (I'm going to try for this year, although maybe either just for the SP or just for the LP. For the Gala, ugh, depends on the price. Maybe some miracle will allow my parents to pay me a vacation for a change)

How visible are the skaters from up there? I imagine you're basically watching the Jumbotron?? (I'm going to bring my camera with a long zoom lens and/or binoculars lol)

Ideally I'd like to get a first floor seat - if I'm going to travel all the way there and attend the event, I might as well go all out and try to get decent seats? - but the problem is I won't know for sure if I've gotten into exchange and where until at least September (It's...not too likely I'll be rejected but I can't be 100% sure). I imagine I'd have to fight to get tickets as soon as they come out to get decent ones so my plan would be to buy them first and resell later if anything goes wrong. Not sure how easy/difficult that is though!

Tickets so far aren't exactly selling like hot cakes... unlike last year when 1. people were about 99 % sure Yuzuru Hanyu would come to Worlds, and 2. it was not an Olympics year. So at *this* point, it's a bit difficult to say how easy it would be to resell a ticket, although I'd think even without Hanyu and some other big names of skaters who may r**** after the Olys or take a break, if they are *good* seats, you shouldn't have too much of a problem reselling them. In Helsinki people were standing outside in the snow trying to buy tickets from other people.

Say hi if you come to the Netherlands, we're tiny and as such very internationally-minded. ;-)

@kaerb

I got my tickets to Helsinki in the beginning of march and bought my gala ticket the morning of the event. There's always a way to get tickets. If you really wait it out and are lucky you might even get free tickets bc of people dropping out but that's always risky, ofc

for the gala I was up on balcony level and I have to say I didn't like it too much. (I guess it depends on the Arena so it might be different in Milan. Someone else more experienced could tell you more.)

My SP and FS tickets were all ice level! On the short side of the rink but I still liked my seats!

Skaters are always pretty visible, they're just a little small. Not like ants small, but like... small birds small. LOL. No, I almost never looked at the Jumbotron. If I buy tickets to go there in person, I want to look at the physical body, no matter how far it is.

When I saw LGC I was very very far. But still, my eyes were glued to Yuzuru. Yes, binoculars are an excellent idea. I forgot mine that time :dancingpooh:

I don't think selling a ticket will be a problem  And flights are quiiite cheap (if you buy very in advance) in Europe. From Italy to Finland, I found a special offer for 150 euros going and back, and it was already quite late. I could have paid less, like 120 euros going and back, had I bought them sooner. I wouldn't consider October/November late, so don't worry!

Mmmh maybe I am a little optimist... but I guess you could take decent seats even after a couple of days that the tickets are available... yes, I'm definitely an optimist because I'm also kinda hoping I will have 2-3 days to come up with the cash to buy the tickets myself :sadPooh:

I kinda feel like I would need a list of things to do. How do you do it? Who do you ask?  Don't tempt me with free tickets... I am a weak person... :tantrum:

Ahh I see, so it's a bit of a gamble at this point. I guess I will just have to aim for a good ticket when they come out (and shell out blood money.... the things I do for you, Yuzu T__T) And thank you ( : I have Leiden, Urecht and Vrije Universities in my Exchange applications so my chances of going to the Netherlands is probably quite high haha It looks like such a beautiful place!

@Murieleirum: Yes, I definitely will do as many things as I can in advance! Unfortunately, I can't control how quickly my exchange application is processed and a booked flight in Europe is useless to an Australian lol. It will be nice to have a concrete event though. Makes sightseeing travel plans a little easier too. You have more than a year to save! Hopefully you can get something good~
