2018 Worlds - Milano (Tickets)

Featured Replies

Compared to Helsinki the all event tickets are much more expensive. And still Helsinki Worlds made 2,9 million euros profit for ths Finnish FSA. One reason for the high profit was reasonable ticket prices. The goal of 65 000 visitors was exceeded by 4000.

I got my tickets to Helsinki in the beginning of march and bought my gala ticket the morning of the event. There's always a way to get tickets. If you really wait it out and are lucky you might even get free tickets bc of people dropping out but that's always risky, ofc

Haha I feel like as I've gotten older, my attitude has shifted towards 'just be there on the day and improvise, things will be okay', but I've also been raised with the mindset that I have no luck at all and must get everything with hard work and planning. It's good to know that there is still hope though (and even if everything goes wrong...I will still be in Milan like. I can't complain! I may cry a little outside the arena though haha)

Maybe it's because I'm Roman but... (It's definitely because I'm Roman) I don't like Milan at all, it's always grey and the people aren't as warm-hearted as most italian cities... Come to Rome, if you can! We are way funnier and friendly, but our ice rinks are always melted :embSwan:

Haha believe me, if I could visit all of Italy, I would -- but rest assured, I will definitely go to Rome! Maybe being in Italy will revive my 2yrs of Italian study in primary school... :0013:Unfortunately because I have to slot travelling in between classes, I don't think I'll have a long timespan per trip (max I think maybe 4-5 days over the weekend which is maybe enough to visit 1-2 cities?). But this is all speculation at the moment!

I kinda feel like I would need a list of things to do. How do you do it? Who do you ask?  Don't tempt me with free tickets... I am a weak person... :tantrum:

Ohhhh well at that point there were still ice level 2 tickets available in the site for the SP and for the FS tockets I just whined often enough on the FF until people offered me their spare tickets!! (I even rejected some bc I didn't want the expensive ice level 1 tickets but I got them anyway in the end. No regrets!)

Even more popped up on the sales forum on GS closer to the event. My EX tickets were also from the official site lol

No magic!

I'm with you on that hahah and I would definitely not count on free tickets but you can definitely get tickets if you are willing to pay! You will definitely not be left to cry alone in front of the arena

Why do people buy spare tickets tho :notamused:

Friends dropping out or buying better tickets!

Aah so (let me get this right) they originally buy the spare tickets and then buy better tickets last minute if someone drops out last minute, so they could actually re-sell their original now-useless spare tickets?

That's a possibility but iirc there were some good seats released later in Helsinki and some people that got their tickets early on were complaining

Well anyway, the point is people drop out for various reasons and want to get rid of their tickets

Yes, this is the point that's interesting :winky:

I wasn't on any forum at the time, but for these Worlds I think us Fanyus and FS fans will communicate much better, and will help each other (of course, by helping I don't mean necessarily giving out tickets for free HAHA but, you know, selling and buying, much like an ethical black market :dancingpooh:)

A couple of questions (I've read through the thread but I'm sorry if I missed the answer somewhere)

1) How feasible will it be to get single ticket seats to, say, the Mens FS in October/November? Will they be sold out really fast? What's the rough price point? I will try and get decent seats but in the end, I just want to be in the arena!

2) If I can only afford one event, which should I go for? (Mens FS/Gala) I'm tempted to go to the Gala since I get to see more skaters (including the ladies!) but I guess I'm keen to see competition!mode Yuzu (fingers crossed he goes T__T)

3) How easy is it to sell tickets in the event you can't make it? (and where?) I'm thinking of buying a second ticket, but I don't know if there will be anyone who wants to go with me yet lol. Not sure if it's worth the hassle of trying to sell it if I can't find a companion.

1) I can only speak about last year. In the beginning they started to sell not the best tickets (father rows on the short side). And then every 3-4 weeks they added new bunch of tickets you just had to check the site regularary. I bought 8th row in the corner - it was quite OK, but then there were very good seats on sale in February and about a week before the event I bought 5th row at the long side - seems like some agency returned a pack of good seats. I sold mine first ticcket already in Helsinki (through GS thread). But it was Men's FS which was in high demand, I suppose that SP is more hard to sell. But you never know how the sales will go, maybe in Milan they'll decide to sell good seats at the start.

In Helsinki FS cost was ice level 1 130 euros, ice level 2 about 80 euros.

2) I always prefer competitions but it's just me (the quads are beautiful + emotions and nerves of competition + you can watch VC after)

3) You can try GS or facebook.

That's my case. It's not that I was complaining much, I understand why organizers do that, but doesn't mean I like it :yznotimpressed:

The best tickets went on sale much later then the first ones.

It must have really sucked becuase alot of people bought the tickets right away thinking that's their chance to get the best tickets. I'm thinking of getting my tickets for Milan as soon as they are out so I really hope we won't have that situation repeated this season

From the start of the season I was really torn to go to Marseille or Helsinki, I was more tempted to go to WC but GPF seemed to be cheaper + more open practices + France, but the organization kinda sucked compered to Barcelona, so I waited for singles tickets till October and at the start of the sales all I got was further rows and I was like "OK, France, here I go". And then later in November there came more decent seats for WC on sale so I kinda YOLOed them :space:

It all turned out for the best cuz Marseille happened to be a very nice city and there was the best SP of the season for me and WC was just mindblowing but still I don't like such politics... I have to say that for CoR last year there was the same situation - in two months before comp. I bought tickets and in one month before better one appeared for the same price :yznotimpressed:  Really hope it will be not the same this year...

For Milan it's hard to say how they'll decide to sell. It seems that now there're quite a lot tickets for sale, so maybe they'll go the same way for single events.
