February 15, 20224 yr Kudos to Polish Eurosport commentators who very openly discussed the doping scandal and the wave of indignation around, , supported increasing the age min and highlighted the unequal approach to judging standards that often happens in favor of Russian skaters. This is so dishearting. We saw how many athletes (including skaters) lost their chance to compete because of positive covid test. In ski jumping we saw many DSQ becuase of some minor equipment rules violations which are super strickt and hard to manage, yet we can see a skater competing after failing doping test, making a serious mistake and still being scored like nothing happened. No words. So proud of Wakaba, Kaori and many other actual victims. It must be very hard for them to stay focused and determined facing such a dirt screwing ther olympic dream.

It's still the usual propaganda about how Kamila is the best figure skater in history across all disciplines. (Seriously? WTF???) And that the conditions in Eteri's camp are certainly not harder than in any other camp in Russia. German commentary hit an all-time low at this event. 1. Let's not talk about doping now, but enjoy these fantastic Russian skaters 2. Kaori is good, but doesn't come near the Russians and her score is a bit too high compared to Trusova 3. Praising Valieva for her 3A attempt and "there were other Axel attempts today as well" (no mentioning of Waka's 3A) I'm so done.
February 15, 20224 yr Can this entire thing blow up and eventually get a full-scale investigation started? I know it likely won't, but one can dream.
