[2022] Winter Olympic Games (04.02-20.02) - Men's SP

Is it because we don't have a podium skater in Australia that I can't really look at even the Olympic competition as country against country. I just wondered this after seeing a huge number of tweets about Nathan Chen that were more 'USA USA, we'll smash em'.

I apologize for the crude language but I gotta get it outta my system. People are already all over social media lauding Nathan's 'incredible artistry' and basically ass-kissing. WHAT ARTISTRY. WHO GAVE HIM 10 IN INTERPRETATION

That is why i avoid social media:laughing: I mean people already spoken as if he won the olympic gold after his fs as if his sp never happened. But believe me much more people think yuzuru is the greatest of alm time and media cannot change that

Sending a big virtual hug to all of you who are experiencing olympics for the first time :grouphug:

I think this is a great opportunity to remind everyone that as much as we love him, we don't have to carry the hate and insults on our shoulders.

Take care of yourselves! You can't cheer for him to give us an amazing performance if you are hoping to shield him from the negative comments :10742289:

He doesn't look too concerned and we shouldn't be either:10742289: He knows what he's doing

The time when he lost to Shoma during japan national championship in 2019, really broke my heart. He was literally in tears when he was interviewed after the competition. He seemed to handle not too bad overhere.Good luck to yuzu for the free!

Guys, can we stop with "what will the media say" and "What will the haters do" please

Why do you care so much about what others say. Do you like Yuzu because the media praised him or because other people say he is great? or is it because you follow him and his skating and love what he does?

We are his fans, not the media or the haters. Our opinions matter more than anyone else. Leave that negativity away and lets keep on sending him positive energy and reminding him that his fans has his back regardless. We are not just here when he wins. We are with him always

Exactly, can't help but be driven nuts by it though

tbh sometimes even japan doesn't deserve Yuzu with how he has been treated by the fed :P so he might see it as a victory for Japan but they tried so hard to make someone else the poster boy of JPN FS

Sorry, I'm posting super late, and it's been a long time since I've posted here. I haven't been watching too closely especially this season because of how stressed I feel (even though 4A!!! I couldn't believe it).

I am happy for the other contestants when they do well, but am feeling so devastated I can barely process...

Sorry, this is not related, but your nickname... Somnis? Ets catalana? Sorry if I'm wrong 😅

Absolutely, @Pasta! You can tune them out - they aren't worth paying attention to. Any human being who is not touched by Yuzu's performance... well, frankly, I feel sorry for them.
(This thread moves so fast!)
I hope all the Yuzu fans on Earth can channel enough positive energy so that Yuzu can hear us. Yuzuuuu YOU'RE THE BEST!!! BE FREE IN THE FREE!!!

Oh God spare me from the Aussie network coverage - Yuzuru Hanru - puleez

Idk about y'all but i am too sensitive rn myb coz this is my first olympics with him. After seeing his name at 8th place, i can't stop crying, even while typing this i am still covered in tears. Not because of the mistake. But because i dunno if i can handle all the hate and backlashes he will get from medias and haters after this. Please god, just let him land ratified 4A asap, so that i can see him reti**ng from this shitty corrupted sport. My heart can't handle all the mistreatments and disrespects towards him.😭😭😭

Please take care of yourself. Log off if you need to. It may be better to not see or hear anything. Just know that Yuzu has achieved almost everything and he is very very loved.

I just want to see Yuzu portray Kenshin beautifully, in all his glory, on the Olympic stage so that no one will ever forget. That is absolutely still something only Yuzu can do, and if the 4A must be a part of it, so be it.

But Yuzu, if you should happen to be lurking and you see this, right now is the time to talk to your coaches and hear what their wisdom might be....just saying.
