This "sport" cannot be saved anymore unless everything is turned upside down and the corrupt system changes from the inside out. But that won't happen. Imagine having one of the absolutely most popular and famous athletes in the world in your sport who brings in most of the audience and money and treating him like dirt instead of worshiping the ground he walks on. Only figure skating can relate.

Do you like Yuzu because the media praised him or because other people say he is great? or is it because you follow him and his skating and love what he does? We are his fans, not the media or the haters. Our opinions matter more than anyone else. Leave that negativity away and lets keep on sending him positive energy and reminding him that his fans has his back regardless. We are not just here when he wins. We are with him always I think for these fans it's the ridicule that they, being fanyus, will face with Yuzu's results. Their heart cannot take all the bashings and criticism towards Yuzu. But for those of us who have been around sometime, (for me, after Yuzu won his 1st Gold), we are used to it & are thick skinned.
February 8, 20224 yr Look at his beautiful jump!! This is my mentality exactly! He is already Yuzuru Hanyu, no one can take that away from him. Ganbatte Yuzu!!! Go get that 4A!!!
February 8, 20224 yr Yuzu is still going to give his all for the FS, so I will remain hopeful that no matter what happens from a medal perspective, we will be given a performance that is incredible and legendary. This is my 3rd Olympics with Yuzu; I get frustrated at what the media says, but I am also grateful that he is still competing and still full of fire to land Nessie in competition.

February 8, 20224 yr This is the sort of thing that pisses me off: My family: well clearly nathan deserved his score cause the judges gave it to him and the commentators are praising him, the judges are the technical experts not you Me: *doesn't even know how to begin unpacking the sport corruption, national bias, mistreated Yuzu, that's only the tip of the iceberg* and so we just get written off as emotional fanyus who can't cope with their fave not winning
