[2022] Winter Olympic Games (04.02-20.02) - Men's SP

Featured Replies

Still sad about the SP but there's still a chance.. hoping a WC17 or even a WC19 comeback..

I'm just thinking that maybe finally Yuzu will have a clean FS at the Olympics

Anyone have a link for this? It wasn't caught on whatever I watched Saitama on

It could also have been 2019 GPF or one of Japan Nationals, the Nationals where Yuzu too tired from GPF & Shoma won. Don't quite recall

Well, I am sad about that, not gonna lie... but such is life, it's unfair. But I still believe in Yuzu, whatever is next.

Few days ago I watched Canadian olympic champion in Moguls fall in the middle, lose any chance for medal, then get up and finish the race. Im sure Yuzu will do the same. And we will support him no matter what!

If he goes squeaky clean, he might overtake Yuma (if he doesn't do the 4Lo).

God I wish Yuzu could find a way to up his BV more, ik 3A+3Lo helps but he has so much score to make up and 4A almost definitely isn't ready for +GOE tomorrow

all i wish is for Yuzu not to blame himself. Yuzu, sweetie, you did nothing wrong.

I just wish he puts a great skate with no regrets. Chance of going on podium is very little now, even with upgraded layout because the judges aren't on his side at all

What did people make of Belinda's comments before Yuzu skated asking why he was even still competing?

"He says he’s going to give everything he has to catch up in the free program"

Well, good to see he hasn't still given up. But I don't think he will even get the bronze unless Universe pull a miracle.

I don't think he cares about that anymore. I won't admire him more or less whether he wins a medal or not. Just let him land that 4A.

I don't know if this counts for anything at all, but 8 is the luckiest number for the Chinese. The overly hopeful part of me wants to believe that it will bring him some good luck for the FS.

In a just world, the official protocols should resemble this much more than the circus that came out earlier. The PCS finally make sense again.

Guys, can we stop with "what will the media say" and "What will the haters do" please

Why do you care so much about what others say. Do you like Yuzu because the media praised him or because other people say he is great? or is it because you follow him and his skating and love what he does?

We are his fans, not the media or the haters. Our opinions matter more than anyone else. Leave that negativity away and lets keep on sending him positive energy and reminding him that his fans has his back regardless. We are not just here when he wins. We are with him always

100%!!! World-class athletes know haters come with the territory and that their job is to tune them out and focus on their job. We should follow suit. The media will do what the media will do. And Yuzu will do what only Yuzu can do in 2 days :D

<3 3A3Lo <3

i knew he would! seemed like something he would say of course he's not doing and then decide to do last minute lol

I also thought he'll add 3A3Lo when I saw him practicing 3F.

8 is a lucky number in Japan as well. 8 in Kanji is 八, and the shape of it resembles something that spreads wider towards the end, so it is a symbol of a situation getting better at the end.

I agree. Considering all the scoring BS that's been going on the last few years and the way Yuzu has been robbed while certain others got candies front and back, I'm sure he knows very well that the ISU already chose Nathan as their Olympic champion. That's why he changed his focus from winning competitions to skating for himself and landing the 4A.

No matter what Yuzu would've done, they were ready to underscore him and overscore Nate and gift him gold. The SP has also liberated me. I don't give a f*** about medals anymore. Let the ISU have their fake champion.

I just want Yuzu to have the performance of his dreams and land a beautiful, fully ratified 4A. This is something that no one can take away from him. :ganba:
