Guys, can we stop with "what will the media say" and "What will the haters do" please

Why do you care so much about what others say. Do you like Yuzu because the media praised him or because other people say he is great? or is it because you follow him and his skating and love what he does?

We are his fans, not the media or the haters. Our opinions matter more than anyone else. Leave that negativity away and lets keep on sending him positive energy and reminding him that his fans has his back regardless. We are not just here when he wins. We are with him always

I think for many new fans, they *first* got to learn of Yuzu *through* the media. (I was one of those - I got to him shortly before PC after reading some "who to watch during Olys" article, maybe the NYtimes one). So I understand the sentiment of new Yuzu fans. I casually follow other athletes like this too.

But Yuzu is the ONLY athlete that made me drop everything for months to learn the technicalities of figure skating (a sports that previously I only vaguely knew of), to join this forum, to watch him pre-during-post competitions, read all his interviews, then watch his masterpieces AGAIN and AGAIN. To beg someone close to me to pick up an instrument again to play his music (sorry, Yuzu, RonCap is a VIOLIN piece :P). And honestly, I cheer for him from the bottom of my heart. He is the ONE and ONLY. What others say, what the media says, it's completely unimportant for me. And all of this came later. Just get to know him (dig on the Planet's Compilation!), watch his past performance for yourself, new fanyu, and you'll get it!

F*vck eveeybody who tells to not be sad in this situation.

Being sad is perfectly normal, let's just not spiral all the way down into despair. What if Yuzu reads those comments and they make him more sad than he needs to be?

ISU & JSF have actually been expressing that in their actions ever since after 2018 Olympics. I.e. wanting Yuzu to retire.

Remember one time Yuzu said to Brian at the K& C 'They don't need me anymore' and the microphone caught those few words. I think it was WC at Saitama. They didn't know the TV station put a mic so close to the skaters at the K & C.

That is heart breaking):

Is this not the place that we can vent our sadness then where?its not that we like him less for that

Do you like it when something that you love is mocked or ridiculed? When they rejoice at his mistakes because it will generate catchy headlines?

No, but you clearly like to turn anything positive someone says into something negative. You can never let something go without putting the person who posted it down and twisting their words.

So, I will follow my own advice and block you. Have a good day

Yuzu!  Now it comes to the condition that you don't have to think about another Olympic medal, or scores :agree2:

Just go straight to get your dream, your 4A :cheer:

We all love you !!

Lmao i am still sad, i let out a "noooo" when i saw the pop. It's okay to feel sad, we obviously want him to win all the time.

But keep in mind, it doesn't make him less of a trailblazer because he popped a sal. Yes, it was in the Olympics but do you feel like he cares about it being the Olympics? It honestly feels as if he's treating it as just another competition, nothing career-defining because he already got all that. Nessy is his last frontier to conquer.

Oh no, vent all you want, this is a forum after all! I am not trying to convince anyone to not be sad and just accept what happened and move on. But i want everyone to take care of themselves and remember that he is still the greatest no matter what happens in these fake Olympics who shouldn't have happened in the first place lol

Anyone have a link for this? It wasn't caught on whatever I watched Saitama on

You're welcome. Not first nor last time.

Of course it is. And no one says you like him less, everyone’s reactions are different. Won’t you try to calm a friend who is upset by saying ‘don’t be sad’ and such?

Yeah you're right..i will try to pull myself together.Like u said, we should love him for better or worse.  He is a human after all, he can't always be on top and flawless all the time. He doesn't need another olympics medal to prove his GOAT legacy. I am very thankful to this forum coz i know i'm not alone esp during this hard time. PH is definitely a safe place for fanyus, esp to fragile fanyu like me 🥰🥰

Is there a photo? If so can you share it please i want to see

you know if it was his own mistake, I would have accepted it easier. But now, I saw the huge hole in the ice and I can't understand why Universe only did it to him. This is why I feel so uneasy and broken.
