[2022] Winter Olympic Games (04.02-20.02) - Men's SP

Only now am I capable of clear thinking again.

4S betrayed him again... That snake! :crybaby:

Oh, well, at least Yuzu skated the rest of his program beautifully. That's one thing I really admire about him. He can make a mistake like that and immediately put it behind him and focus on the rest of his program.

Of course, after his skate, the thoughts and what-ifs will come. But I hope he can put this SP behind him and focus on his FS.

Quick what BV changes could he make to give himself a fighting chance

The highest possible score while still working with TenChi’s choreo and keeping it to 4 quads would be changing 4A to 4Lo, 3A2T to 3A3Lo, and 3Lo to 3F.

But it’s so unlikely to get him on top of the podium that I am now firmly on team 4A. I just want him to skate for himself now.

If im feeling pain now dont know how much Yuzu must feel.Cant imagine he is not on Olympic podium

Absolutely, it'll take a Helsinki miracle for him to podium at this point

I feel so sad now, i don';t think a miracle like that is possible under these circumstances :war:

I think Yuzu’s 3A was also kinda off, the height was much lower than his usual.

I refuse. This man has different definition of impossible that the rest of us

No, he proved today that he is also human. It won't happen

It may sound weird, but I actually think that this mistake now enabled the way for the 4A and a really good freeskate.

If he had skated completely clean, everyone would have advised him to play safe and drop that jump. The pressure for the free would have been enormous too.

This pop might be less costly in the end as it may appear now.

Does this...does this mean he's off the podium??

Sadly, yes atp the best we can hope is bronze which might be a bit of a stretch considering nc, yuma, shoma and vincent as other medal contenders. Either some of them make mistakes, myb yuzu will get bronze but if they all go clean..bye bye podium🥺🥺. Well, i was not very surprised with the results. I expected this much  tbh. So i was not that sad. But i think i will not stick around anymore for FS or in this olympics in general. Back to my normal life, reset everything, myb i'll come back to this forum few months from now. I am just too coward to see the after effects/post beijing backlashes. I just wish yuzu the best and no matter what happens, he is still a two time olympic champion and a grand slam title holder. Nothing is going to change that.  Bye bye fellow fanyus, thank you for the past few days, it was very fun.

Ok, I just killed my stream. Not paying attention anyway, and I need to take out the trash for tomorrow morning. :P

And I gotta do the Pooh rain on Twitter.

The pressure was so much on Yuzu from the media around the world. The sal pop happened too many times now you snake!

Tell me it's not so...?!!! What's with rink ice and forcing him to pop his jumps?!!!

This post has been tagged by yuzuangel as [NEWS].

So in 2018 Nathan bombed the SP with a 82.27 and moved up to fifth.

Yuzu's already starting out at 95.15. Not great, but better than 2018 Chen. So who knows? Anything can happen. The competition is steep sure. But ice is slippery ( and full of holes apparently as per Yuzu's interview)
