Oh heck, no. that's just wrong.

personally, I don't like hair that long... not on young girls, and especially not on 50+ males!!

Yes, but I'd say if you took the 2 quads away then she is not far ahead of the other girls, especially Kostornaia. Kostornaia's general skills are arguably better, as are her spins etc..  those 2 quads (worth over 20 points I think) really cemented Trusova's win and distanced her from the others.

And if you took the beautiful, high triple combinations away from Kostornaia, she wouldn't be ahead of the other girls either! But she is, because you always have to see the whole performance. I agree that Kostornaia's Skating skills are without rivals among the junior ladies right now, she is so beautiful to watch, I'd watch her all day long!

My heart goes out for Rika...those 3A's, it looked like she slipped off the take off edge or something.

But Sasha...man, her TES can give senior men's a run for the money, and that's with 1 less jumping pass. Imagine what would happen if she had another jumping pass.

To those who watched QQ live, new nicknames for the Russian girls. Sasha's normal nickname in Chinese is read as Shasha, where the character is pronounced the same as the first chinese character for Tsar. So now her new name is "Tsar"-and QQ live had a lot of people saying how the Tsar slayed tonight.

Alena's nickname is "飞天“-roughly translates as 'fly to the sky" which I'm not sure how she got it, maybe it's for her jumps' sizes.

Otherwise, knock on wood-hope all the ladies we see now all deal with puberty well. Because if so, Beijing 2022 ladies is going to be legendary.

What a season it has been for the juniors! An amazing Grand Prix Final (maybe the best competition of the season) and to top it all of: two quads landed in international competition. Russian Nationals will be great this year.

It's been great for years, as a matter of fact. And I'm not sure Sasha will be able to take part in the senior competition.

Protocols .

The quads were fully ratified.

Yamashita and Yokoi were clean.

Konstantinova got ! for both her 3F, and I don't think her 3Lz was strong also. Hmm...

Lim got one carrot.

Cui got really lucky, her 3Lz-1/2Lo-fall wasn't counted as a combo and hence didn't get the mandatory -3 GOE.

You's serial liper problem is seen again, and her second -3T got downgraded.

Kihira's 3Lz got downgraded, and those single axels:13877886:

Kihira, Yamashita, and Trusova are the only ones who hit all the levels.

That JGPF was epic.... my favourite  junior ladies comp as well. I really missed the other top Russian juniors here.. especially my personal favourite, Tarakanova. However, you can only have 3 here, so that's that. Even without them it was a great competition for a viewer. Exciting stuff. World Junior's is now done for another year and it didn't disappoint in htis event.

Also, Kihira really needs to learn to count on the fly. She didn't jump 2 3As (none, actually), so she could've put 3T into that 3S instead of just 2T.

But, I mean, she needs to control her nerve overall first. I can barely math in calm situations (despite doing a master in Applied Math:13877886:), I can only imagine how hard it must be to math while calming your nerves in such a high competition.

Also, JP media, please be nice to her.:snonegai:

Stanislava Konstantinova isn't really an up-and-coming skater, since she's 17 already and her jumps have been getting worse and worse. But she just has a musicality that I love personally :smiley-love017: I really liked her at JWC last year too. Anyway, she's not getting the same love as the others for good reason, but I really like her style.

Oh, what a great event! I am so glad after the men's!

The first time I saw Sasha and Alenka skate, you would not be able to convince me Sasha is taller :laughing:Kostornaia just has so much presence on the ice, I love watching her, more than many senior ladies, honestly.

And omg, Trusova really is a little monster, so much energy! I applaud her for having the guts to pull this off, really. She is still kinda unpolished and rough around the edges still, but she could be so good in time! Of course, we never know what the future will bring, especially with juniors, but I am wishing her all the best! :tumblr_inline_mp4i2vHXDy1qz4rgp: Kinda high PCS and GOE, but hey, she made history, and she would have won anyway, I'm not even mad.

I'm sobbing for Rika, bounce back, girl!

Congrats to all the medalists and all the ladies who tried their best in this event! :thanks:

Spoiler

And I don't wanna bring more negativity, but I really dislike people who give freedom of speech as an excuse to be rude/act against the rules. Freedom of speech is something we should value, since it's not guaranteed we'll always have it, not use it as an excuse for bad behavior.

Am I using the spoilers correctly? Hope so...
