I think that's a silver for her... as it would have been even with a clean skate... you just cannot beat 2 quads...

to see her and Alexandra side by side, you'd never guess she is the smaller girl... both will grow so much probably.. i want them both to survive that time and come out successfully on the other side, lol. I think I also like her because of that interview she gave earlier this season... it was a great read.

Meanwhile, I know a girl age 12 who us 171 cm tall, lol.

It's not just two quads... Trusova jumped 2 quads, and then skated the rest of her program clean! And let's not forget the transitions in and out of jumps. Most jumps in the second half. No one forced her to jump quads, she is not running after anyone - she decided for herself that she wanted to push herself and write history. The stamina, the focus, the ambition, not only the quads, are the qualities of this young girl... inspiring.

We are all fans of someone who didn't chase anyone - he pushes himself and the sport forward because this is what he believes in. I suggest you (all) to read Trusova's interviews, you will find out what a mind this little girl has.

But this girls' even couldn't be more different than the boys'. So many girls with great potential whereas the bous, uhhh.

two quads, and three backloaded triple triples. trusova has forever written her name in history, whether you see her keeping her jumps or not. 92 tes as a junior lady. her fearlessness and determination is so admirable, but girl terrifies me. it just doesn't seem possible, even though she just did it O.o

Yes, but I'd say if you took the 2 quads away then she is not far ahead of the other girls, especially Kostornaia. Kostornaia's general skills are arguably better, as are her spins etc..  those 2 quads (worth over 20 points I think) really cemented Trusova's win and distanced her from the others.

[Admin edit: edited out quote that broke rules]

Reality is that there has been no girl landing 2 quads at 13 years of age before Trusova, so we just don't have certainty of anything - as other people have said, Miki Ando landed quads while senior, and all the other senior ladies don't have quads not because their bodies cannot take them, but because they haven't practiced them, not now and not when they were young.

Trusova (and Eteri Tudberidze and the rest of the team, as far as I'm concerned) are pushing, yet again, the boundaries of the sport, and today, Trusova did something historical, a la NHK 2015. There is no proof that she won't be able to jump quads in the future, period.
