I think that's just her face. :/ I think Eteri just looks scary unless she's actively smiling.

Yeah I'm deathly afraid of Eteri even though I'm not her student. :sadPooh:

Alrighto, so we have 4 more years of her skating.

Wonder if the kuyashii level is one where she's just going to win everything from now on. :13877886:

I think, she is: "I adore this sport and I'm not going to leave it. I'll try to enjoy the moments like that and will put my whole soul". (Zhenya in the same interview just after the free).

UPD: sorry, I forgot the link. It's in Russian: https://www.sports.ru/figure-skating/1060546702.html

She's always said that yes, I'm glad :) although I wonder if she will improve her jumps. Lots of russian babies aging into seniors in the next quad >_<

We are going to see some interesting fights in a few years, anyway)

BTW, it's not a thing to be proud of, but I'm so happy I'm much less invested into ladies. I still can be happy for Yuzu and enjoy it while a good half of my friends is heartbroken now.

same, my father who is a Medvedeva fan called me right after the FS ended, he was shocked.

I'm really annoyed because this is unfair to these girls, too, really.

I mean, look at it. Zhenya? She got PCS she didn't deserve in her first senior year. So what happened? Now that she has improved her skating and performance skills a lot, that improvement is not reflected in her scores. Because where's the room? Same thing will happen with Alina, because they're sure that they have new and improved versions coming up who will get that same PCS boost with higher TES, and there's room enough in ladies' skating for that to go on for a few years, unlike in men's skating. Where can Alina go from here? She can get maybe 3-5 extra points, for the rest of her career? Is that all the improvement she will show from the time she is fifteen until she retires?!

But that indiscriminate politicking PCS boost in the beginning only works when these girls are treated like they have an expiration date for their winning ways.

I hope the JP ladies do as well if not better at worlds, more spots next year, less heartbreak (well...who I am kidding).

Bingo. Nothing to do with the girls themselves, all about the judging.

So what I learned from this event is that.... the PCS issue is a lost cause......:sadPooh:

I am excited for Kihira and Trusova. I might be invested too deep again because I'm such a masochist.  How to be you?

I have no recipe, but I think Yuzu just took all my heart, so despite I care about others, his happiness is enough for me.

Exactly. But it never crosses the ISU's agenda, or at least we won't hear of it.

Quoted you because you took it out of my mouth (or hands, typing).

I don't care about the whole backloaded thing for TES. It's a valid strategy. I do care that it's tied to PCS for only some anointed skaters because of politics.
