I don't know, I wouldn't be surprised if she wants to skate to that angry and brilliant EX which she chose for Europeans.

You know, Zhenya's injury really screwed up all plans. Alina's PCS rise wouldn't have been so meteoric if Zhenya's participation at the Olympics hadn't seemed a wee bit doubtful back then. There had to be a ladies' gold, they'd been counting on it for two years, so the Russian fed went into overdrive pushing Alina. Once it goes up, unlike most things, PCS only comes down after your Fed decides you're no longer useful.

my god, eteri needs to control herself. I don't agree with Zagitova's win but she doesn't deserve to be treated like that by her coach who she trusts and relies upon.

Alrighto, so we have 4 more years of her skating.

Wonder if the kuyashii level is one where she's just going to win everything from now on.

Making parallels, Alina is Nathan, but with more consistency and inflated to the sky PCS. Funny Alina performs a ballerina and Nathan has a ballet background and so we're supposed to tell ourselves that we see artistry and great skating skills. I'm just so glad Nathan doesn't have the pcs boost, yet. (Alina has TR in quantity though and a stronger mental game.)

 

I'll congratulate Alina (and Nathan since I brought him in) on her TES though. Not an ideal figure skater, but what an athlete and mentally strong competitor.

 

With the win being by a very small margin though, if Alina's pcs had not skyrocketed Med would have had the gold.

 

But neither are my favorite if we're talking about skating and they still got medals and scores over my favorites though so.

Oh... Well, good luck to her, and I hope she gets completely healthy and uses the time to work on her jumps and get them better. In a couple of years, she will grow into an incredible performer.

She's always said that yes, I'm glad  although I wonder if she will improve her jumps. Lots of russian babies aging into seniors in the next quad >_<

I think that's just her face.  I think Eteri just looks scary unless she's actively smiling. 

 

Doesn't mean she's not generally scary. I bet Olympics nerves didn't affect those girls because they get practice every single day with their much scarier coach.

This is why I didn't want Alina to win. I'm now more grateful than ever that the men's podium is what it is now, though.
