If somebody who experienced the bullying terribly does not show kindness or fairness while commentating (Tara), it's unrealistic to expect anonymous people sitting behind a computer screen to show any sensitivity. That's what I meant, which might not have been obvious though I thought it was in the context, but neither was there anything in what I said that implied that I meant it's okay to bully. 

OT a bit but... I kind of hope Zhenya will change coaching team. Maybe leave Russia for a few years. Eteri might like Zhenya a lot, the first really huge success, but... Well, Zhenya was prototype, the ideal skater to maximise every advantage from the CoP, and now there are others who will do that better. At the end of the day, Eteri's team's goal is to get as many medals as possible for Russia. Especially with how she's been saying Alina is beautiful and knows it and all that, it feels like Alina's beauty and winning skills will be the focus. (Also not cool, Alina is 15, some of the promo shoots with her have been... Put her in appropriate clothes and settings for a 15-YEAR-OLD!!)

 

What Zhenya needs now is somebody who will maximise her potential. Develop her improved skating skills even more, get her programmes that will really help her shine, fix her flutz, fix the remaining problems with pre-rotation she sometimes still has. Move away from the Eteri-team-formula, find her a way to shine on her own because she's now finally showing she can really, really do it without depending on working the system. It's not like Zhenya doesn't have the talent to shine without all that. She should get the chance to do it. 

 

I dunno why I'm so extra invested in Zhenya now. I think it's the team event SP that did it. She was wonderful. 

So annoyed by my countries commentator. She is trying to sell Zagitova as the perfect figure skater, like, she is perfect in everything and so "mature" on ice (ahem)... Lady, please
