Two bits from that team roster - one, there is a team OAR, contrary to some wishes and two, there are no North Koreans on the Korean roster which means one less thing to worry about for Team Japan in the Pairs short. 

I'm temporarily free from university commitments, which means I can spend each day between now and the start of the Team Event, getting my adrenaline going and loop-watching Yuzuru videos. Olympics, I don't fear you!!

3 a.m. for me ... I can watch it on tv , too, ESP is broadcasting all the Olympics live ... but 3 a.m ...

Eurosport is offering fans the first ever live Virtual Reality (VR) coverage of the Olympic Winter Games across most European countries, including the UK.

 

The Winter Olympics Eurosport VR app will provide more than 50 hours of live coverage, including some of the biggest moments from PyeongChang.

A wide range of sports will be available live in VR, including alpine skiing, curling, figure skating, ice hockey, short track, ski jumping, skeleton, snowboarding (big air and halfpipe), as well as the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Eurosport will also share full on-demand replays and daily highlights packages in VR. The coverage is provided to Eurosport by the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), its partner at the Games.

Fans will be able to fully personalise their viewing experience, selecting their preferred viewing point from up to six camera positions and immersing themselves with all the sights and sounds within a venue during the live sport. The VR experience will be delivered by Intel True VR, which uses multiple cameras at the selected events to create a 360-degree virtual reality environment for fans to get closer to the action than ever before.

I'm so envious. The thought of having to watch skating on NBC makes me ill. I could barely stand their coverage of the ladies event at US Nationals. When their coverage of the entire men's event was pre-empted by football, I was SO HAPPY because I could just watch it all on IceNetwork.

Oh my god. I was cursing that no one was doing exactly this AND SOMEONE IS DOING EXACTLY THIS!

 

...AND I CAN'T FRIGGIN' WATCH IT!

 

 

I wonder if it's only live or if it will be available to rewatch. And then how to save forever...

I have no idea whether I'll be able to make this work, but if the price is really only 99p I'll give it a go - got a week of other sports to try it out on or I wouldn't bother because I don't intend to miss anything because I'm wrestling with new technology  ( never my strong point)

Commentators can really ruin it for you - Hanratty on BESP drove me nuts over the GP season but then they put Joanne Conway on for 4CC and she made him sound like a model of impartiality.  I quite enjoy a small dose of Johnny and Tara on YouTube but it must be maddening to listen to them all the time.  This is where ESP player is best, just the music no commentary.  Praying that the BBC cover what I want to watch🙏🏻

What did Joanne Conway do? Was that on BESP?

Yes - couldn't get Eurosport player to work but luckily the last group was on tv.  I didn't rewatch because I was irritated but the overall impression (apart from her really annoying voice) was disappointment that the jumper beat the skilful skater etc.  I can see that commentators don't analyse performances the way that the knowledgeable members of this forum do, but even to my inexpert eye BJ has improved that FS enormously since the start of the season.  Still dislike the choreo but he's doing as much as he can with it;  SU seems to be regressing slightly if anything, with another choreo that I'm not keen on but which is more coherent than the one BJ is grappling with.
