Wakaba was out as soon as Maria skated clean.... kaetlyn was going to get there unless she fell everywhere...

If Kaetlyn had been cleaner, she could have edged out Maria from second and Wakaba would win the tiebreaker on total points. But Kaetlyn bombed her way to third. :(

Wakaba is definitely out? Can someone link the points again? Is she at least the first alternate?

Shoma is now the last hope of a Japanese skater at a GPF in Japan.

lmao is there even a way he won't get in? how hard would he have to bomb?

at this rate I seriously don't think I'll watch the GPF :/

It boggles the mind that Wakaba is out of the GPF. When she has one of the best programs, AND performances, of the ladies this season.

Wakaba...

I have given up...:slinkaway: If she won at CoC, the result would be different...

No Japanese girls in Nagoya.  Russian Nationals..

She should be first alternate. I think the only way she can make it is if Polina is below 2nd at SkA or 2nd with a lower score than 209.

Oh Kaetlyn. It was the last single Axel. My heart breaks for Wakaba :sadPooh:

For crying out loud, Wakaba deserved it!!!

IMO out of all the ladies on the whole GP so far, she deserved it the most. But that is dumb judging for you.

Congrats JSF. It's pretty much their "success" there. GPF is pretty much cancelled for me this year I guess.

Yup, but that's what Kaetlyn does!!! In my life, I want to see 1 clean competition from kaetlyn,  just 1.

I don't like most of these ballet-inspired skating programs. I find them boring and dated and I suspect most of the audience watching them at the Olympics for the first time will not be thrilled either.

Who are Polina's main competitors there?

not definitely but very little chance she'll make it:slinkaway: unless satton suddenly pull out a magnificent skate and got gold, kicking polina or ashley to 2nd place then wakaba needs to win tie breaker total score with whomever is in 2nd place.. if ashley or polina got gold she is out..

hard...

for gpf: I'll watch pairs sp+fs, dance fd, and in the singles most likely just the skaters I like or just the programs I like..
