I don't really see it as an easy layout. It's harder than Original Seimei, requires more stamina. I could see him not completely acing it and it being perfectly normal, knee problems aside.

It's not an easy layout (none of these layouts are easy, goddammit men, you kill me with your multiple quads), but I wonder how different in terms of stamina it is to jump 4 quads, two in second half, compared to 3 quads in second half when you don't do any in the first half.

I don't expect him to be completely clean but I'm hopeful he'll land his elements. Crossing my fingers.

@Fay, check it out in slow mo.

Also, what? SE easier than counter? I think you need to step away from dumb people like that.

Some Russian haters, the kind that once said Gachinsky's spread eagle entry into the 3A was more difficult than Yuzu's counter...

Ok, so there's no need to take them more in consideration :anger:

I take this opportunity to thank you for all the works for this site and also for all the translations and feedbacks you give us form Russian FS world :pbow:.

Does someone have the Men Senior Practice schedule (order)? I'm dying to go to the skating rink before the big event tonight but I wish I wouldn't lose Yuzu's last Seimei practice.

It's not but in person he still glows and it's very obvious ... Not sure how he does it.

Maybe it's in the genes:shrug:

Yuzu is in the last group so he's going to appear in about 45 mins

Some random thoughts about yesterday's skate.

A friend of mine, who also loves figure skating, looked at Yuzu's SP this morning (she is not crazy enough not to sleep at 3 am as I did) and she said that it was quite boring and not emotional. I barely found words to mumble something about the first competition of the season and the knee pain (shame on me, never eloquent enough to describe his skating on the spot).

Piano is so different, compared to some dramatic music yesterday. I thought figure skating was boring then SEIMEI shut me up...can't wait for FS

His kind of focus yesterday (this morning in my country) is a different kind of focus he rarely shows. We are so used to see his "I'm gonna skate the living daylights out of me focus" that we tend to forget he has another to his arsenal, his "Let's get this over with" kind of focus. When that is on he is lazer sharp, attentive (like most of you have said) and his reflexes are so good you can expect zero to no mistake. Aside from today's sp another product of that kind of focus is the legendary H&L at Worlds. Finally he understood Brian. He shouldn't be so intense. When he's in this mode his focus evolves to overthinking. It mess him up mentally and eventually physically. Little by little he has learned to control his emotions. Our boy is maturing. He's just 22y/o after all.

I see the shape of monster.:POOH:

I intended to only put in my two cents after I've seen Hanyu's FS but then I saw Nguyen's SP. Removing Hanyu's SP from the equation altogether, Nguyen's performance of his SP was the standout performance of the event for me. The darker arrangement that is his program music kind of reminds me of Lorde's version of Everybody Wants to Rule the World, but the picture this version of Over the Rainbow and Nguyen's performance of it paint is heavier on the juxtaposition of hope in a world that is seemingly without any. Like victims in a war zone stuck in an endless loop of suffering and desperate survival day in and day out still daring to hope that there's good in life and that there's life beyond  the one they're suffering. Even if their hopes and dreams are shot through and tinged in melancholia, and more likely than not to never come true, they still hold on to them. That's the image that smacked me in the face when I saw Nguyen's performance. So I find the song an awesome rendition of what a bright and bubbly song would really mean to the kind of world we are really living in. Have always been living in.

That said, I hope Nam is able to perfect it even more and raise his scores for it even higher later in the season. This is a powerful program and deserves to be duly rewarded as such.

Oh, this thread has been a fun read, btw, with some of you saying things that are scarily ironic in hindsight, like:

It's pretty but we deserve something new damnit

Hehe. Big Brother Yuzu knows what everyone truly deserves and it ain't new costumes. *whispers* It's something bigger. B)

...okay, so that came off kind of sleazy and creepy but you all know what I mean. Right? ^.^;

Oh, and also @kaerb's wailing:

I cannot hold back on the facepalm right now wtf yuzu you had one job

Hahaha. He sure did, didn't he? And knocked it outta the ball park, too, he did. >_<

He's a champion even when it comes to trolling, in style, in substance and in utter meanness. xxD It's a very sweet kind of torture he puts his fans through and the guy enjoys every nanosecond of it.

Anywho, hope his bum knee holds out for his FS, which even watered down, would still be a lot more demanding than the SP.

@Forcefield: I like Lee's choice in music, too. I'm guessing we have pretty similar tastes or are on similar wavelengths.. xD I also like Miner's choices and the way he cut them together. I seem to like everything most everyone here are making x( faces at. I'm...not sure what that says about me. There are, of course some I like a little less than others but nothing that rubs me the wrong way at all. In this competition anyway. I think most of what I heard here are interesting in a good way.

...and I keep reading Hommes Senior as Homeless Senior...so when it appears underneath each skater's name, it's like they're all being introduced as elderly hobos...

This is the first pancake. Hereon, we’ll add the sugar, adjust the fire, et cetera. In order to win the Olympics––we’re right now doing the things that will help that cause.

The narrative today in the Spanish La Marca journal is so passive aggressive...

The writer of the article is probably the guy who was at the Hieloespanol twitter yesterday, trying to perpetuate the idea Yuzu had no expression. Or 'could use a little more expression', according to the article.

Hmmmmmm........ this seems the be the direction going forward for negative commentary/PR on Yuzu.. 'perfect but no emotion/expression'. No worries then, SEIMEI will straighten them out. :hachimaki:

They are jealous and :salty: we can give them social media attack XD

if Yuzu is a pancake, what breakfast item is Javi?
