Umm... Suddenly :offtopic:why am I quite relieved to discover that his skin is not that flawless.. Hehe

I have noticed his skin flaws before... well, stress will mar even the most perfect faces, ya know...I will take those minor flaws if he can be flawless on the ice...

gotta ask you - some people claim the combo was UR - less than a quarter, but still. Would you say it was?

Eh, I'd say he's very much safe, he's just about fully backwards. If there is anything it's miniscule.

That's a screenshot I took of the moment his blade touched the ice, decide for yourself

Edit: I can't seem to upload the picture?? Link instead

If it's there, it's veeeery minimal and on the 4T. The 3T seems perfectly rotated to me, nice flow in the landing, even. Not deserving of an UR call, in any case.

Quoting myself from the general ACI thread.

re: Javi skating after Yuzu. I sure hope for Javi's sake he's learned to not let Yuzu skating before him and being *utterly brilliant* and the audience going bonkers distract him. Wasn't that what he attributed his bad FS skate at Worlds to? (paraphrased)

Eh, I think with it being ACI, it's likely not going to affect him too much. Also, with Yuzu's current layout, he's not likely to score above what Javi can potentially do with his own layout, a la 4 quads to 3 quads in Helsinki.

And it depends on whether Yuzu is clean before him, though with having only 3 quads in his program tonight, and starting off with triples, only issues with lack of practice/knee fatigue would have him not manage to land this kind of layout nowadays.

They claim it's the 3T which is UR. Which I don't see at all.

Javi skating after Yuzu means no Brian in KnC. Oh well. But my main dislike is that no matter whether Yuzu does good or bad I'll be too overwhelmed to appreciate Javi's skate. I need like a minimal of 10 min to recover. :(

lol, nope. I've watched it in slow motion a bunch of times looking for anything to nitpick and it's just not there

1/4 at the most, if anything. Which goes in the skater's favor always.

Because it is rotated fast ala "satoko miyahara jump" but it is a fully rotated, ripponed explosive 3t.

I don't really see it as an easy layout. It's harder than Original Seimei, requires more stamina. I could see him not completely acing it and it being perfectly normal, knee problems aside.

I don't expect another clean, WR performance in the Free here tbh but I don't mind as long as he doesn't completely bomb it or hurt himself in any way

Dear @Fay, where they are claiming that? I am not an expert, but from what I can see if they want call an UR on that 3T, they should call of all a lot of other triples in combination....What do you think about it?

Some Russian haters, the kind that once said Gachinsky's spread eagle entry into the 3A was more difficult than Yuzu's counter...
