I have to rewatch this: lands of Nathan were a little better, but to me he loooked so slow today...and progran still remains empty unitl the StSq...

I don't understand these judges at all: Yuzu axel and StSq only third...? http://skatingscores.com/2019/wc/men/short/tes/

No, guys I knew that I hadn't to read posts in other "places" but there are people saying that those PCS for Yuzuru are a bit inflated because the pop is a major error so... Btw they(he) say also those of Shoma ...because the comp is in Japan . I know that "different folks, different strokes", but here I cannot understand for real. .

Who is this Judge 2 ...? Does he/she knows what transitions are?

[2019] World Championships - Men Short Program

Oh yes: to me, at this level a fall plus one or two thight landings are equivalent to an half bombing...with two or more falls I would call a complete bombing For some other comments: I don't write off Yuzuru at all. But I don't like this panel of Judges and TP... Mostly now I am sorry for him because I am sure he wanted skate well and clean here in Japan also the SP, and because he could have been gone easier and calmer into the next part of competition with a score closer to that of Nathan. I have faith in his mental strenght; I hope also the body could follow and give him the best skate possible at this moment.

I am afraid you are right. The only possibility for gold is a very clean Hanuy (and with a good loop) and an half bomb by Nathan. Just I hope he will not be surpassed also by Zhou because of his Urs are not called...

So, I didn't watch the competition: just saw that for the judges PCS of Nathan are better thanJason's and almost on par with Yuzu's ones. Still the same mentality of 6.0 scoring system + reputation...

I saw it...but why they divided the last flight of six in two warm-up groups, the first of four ladies with Kaori for last, and the second with only two ladies (btw Alina and Elizabeth ...)?

[2019] World Championships - Ladies Short Program

Ok. I just rewatched Evgenia and Alina SP for now. I still think that the loop on Alina combo was UR, but I understand that was quick and not to far from the limit so... Her GOE on this element was also a little bit to high. Her PCS had to be lower at least for PE and IN, but they gave 36.63 to Med, so they had to go higher for Alina. If so, so at least also Kaori should have been in the 36s as well as Satoko in 37/38s (today she was a bit nervous and no so fast and neat as prior competitions though...). Here also the skating order didn't play in favor of them. Reputation and Fed power did the rest. Do you have a link to rewatch Kaori and the other Japanese ladies? and also Eun Soo? Thanks in advance

So...no calls on the combo for Alina...?
  12. Thank you for the info @sallycinnamon, I saw then that there was an Yevgeny Martynov from Ukraine living and working since 20 years in USA, but because of that, he has not to be listed like USA ? He is listed also as a former coach of Bradie Tennell on ISU bio of Bradie and on Wikipedia ...so I could not believe it.
  13. You are welcome ! (and finger crossed for the judging : they can do a lot of damage seeing or not-seeing edges and Urs....)
  14. Mr. Evgeny MARTYNOV was in the TP for the Senior Ladies last Oly as assistant technical specialist AND specialist for senior men at 4CC in 2017 .... For other competitions see here (but he seems to be often invited/sent to USA competitions .... included SKAm and US international FSk !) : http://www.rinkresults.com/judge?judge_id=512 Ms. Leen LAAKSONEN, instead seems to be more balanced and various at least taking in consideration competition countries etcc.. (but she went different times to judge in Canada): http://www.rinkresults.com/judge?judge_id=72 Ms. Elisabeth LOUESDON was among the judges for Senior Ladies at last Oly too, and previoulsy she attended more Junior comps and at French comps: http://www.rinkresults.com/judge?judge_id=310 Ms. Masako KAWAI attended mostly at competitions in Japan, China and Taipei, it seems: http://www.rinkresults.com/judge?judge_id=523
  15. Happy to see him in good shape - considering all in all - and smiling! I hope he will achieve here what he wants, so that he can be happy. Looking that and all the practice notes, it looks like this year among single men & ladies we will have a fierce battle! I hope just that the judging (judges and the TP) will be correct at max possible, in order to respect and honour the hard work of all these athletes, their coaching teams and families (and maybe also we fans of the sport). Good luck to everyone !
