I love this photo   just leaving the pancake here because it's super cute and I'm hungry

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank @kiches and @Danibellerika. You guys are awesome!

Awww! As are you!!

So here is a live report after a glass and a half of wine.   About to go to bed, and would have posted sooner but I was watching Hanyu's short on repeat and the recording just doesn't compare to seeing it in person with your own eyes.  I must say it is an absolute privilege to be lucky enough to witness Hanyu produce that level of perfection. It's a sell out crowd here and he gave the audience a moment we'll remember for forever.  I was lucky enough to be on the side for his 4toe/3toe rippon (2nd row) and It. Is. Something else! Just jaw-dropping and breathtaking and I could watch him do it all day.

A lot of people left after the second group but I stayed for the final flight (the Canadian guy did pretty well! Sorry I'm sleep deprived and not good on names atm).  And Javi came out to see the last flight of the guys so I got to meet him and tell him that I was in Boston and he was amazing there. He said thank you.  He was very friendly and took pics with everyone around.

On the way out we were interviewed for a little while by the Japanese media (Fuji TV Maybe?) so I'm curious if anything will show up on tv, but we left no superlatives unsaid

And there was already a queue when we were leaving the facility! Totally insane!! People were lined up since midnight for today and the police arrive around 3am to see what was going on. They left in awe, wishing Yuzu luck. But I have a pretty good inkling that Yuzu himself would appreciate his fans getting a good night's rest...and a shower... because I can assure you he is going to...  And I certainly will! I can understand getting caught up in a frenzy when you're seeing a GOAT do his thing though.

But there really is no bad spot in the house!!  There are probably only about 800 people here so it's really intimate and it's a very nice facility.  I will say it's so fun meeting familiar faces from Boston and Helsinki and seeing new faces too! These smaller events are really nice because it's more relaxed but you still get a lot out of the event. And the friends I made from Helsinki and Boston, we got to sit together and watch Yuzu produce that perfection and that was extra special. Normally we'd all be seated separately.  I could go on. Overall, this is a pretty quality event for a Senior B!!!

I'm hoping he can give a solid free skate tomorrow. GO YUZU!

That's so cool! I hope you share the picture.

After the painful history of short programs from last season I just want to say I'm extremely happy Yuzuru gave such a great performance and achieving a WR!!! (If that's not a comeback I don't know what it is) really great stuff. I was worried after hearing of his knee pain but it's wonderful he is able to take it easier (lol) and perform like this. Looks like Yuzuru really wants to have as many clean skates as possible, I wish him the best in his free tomorrow like always and I hope we can see more smiling faces. Welcome back king!!!

Sorry, I can only talk about the music. Not really knowledgeable or paying attention.

you just summarized my entire contribution to this forum since it was opened

Me three, hehehe. But that’s okay, as long as we’re having fun, right? :-) Music is my life.

and speaking of which... Guess I will be trying to make some progress again with that utterly-impossible-to-play Chopin masterpiece. This is my thirtieth piano-year, it’s only fair I try to perfect Chopin 3(.)0 as well.

I just woke up and I saw what happened and now I'm jumping in my house looking for someone already awake and ready to speak with me. In the meantime I'm spamming all my friends with Yuzu things. What an happy day!

And I wasn't following live because I had to wake up early and study, but now I'm awake but I don't think I'm in the conditions for studying...

It's so satisfying to see the Yuzu skeptics praising him today

I just woke up and feel so happy. Actually I wasnt worried at all. I just wanted to see him skating so much because I"ve missed it honestly. And to wake up to a masterpiece was a blessing. Thank you, Yuzuru! Good luck with your FS!

I slept a night (lol 2 hours) over it and it still feels like a dream. I had to rush out and couldn't rewatch the skate and I am craving watching it so much rn....

Was his WR a dream I had at night?

It was either true or another fanyu mass hallucination

Just woke up and watched his performance and was so happy! And a WR too!

howeverrr, YUZURU YOUR SPINS. I was a bit disappointed with his illusion entry since his leg like bent on the way in and his timing for the arms needs to be sharper, but that's little things. Hoping that we can only go up from now on

Waking up and realizing it was not a dream and that it did indeed happen is the best feeling! What a performance  What a legend, wow!

I couldn't stream live but I was following the performance by refreshing the thread again and again and it felt just surreal to read about one clean element after another... And to think he did that with a sore knee...

I am so happy he got a clean short, must be such a confidence booster. And the demon face is back haha

But!!!! WHERE is the new costume, Yuzu?

He did not shave his arm pits.

My boy. That is not how we do things if you're wearing sheer white. No, no it is not.
