So, good morning to you guys!  Not so much bc it's 11.25 am here haha... I manage to sleep a good 4h and then a big mug of coffee and a good breakfast and I feel human again! Ofc I had to catch up with 15 pages, and here I am, ready for a new day of FS... 

And ofc, I saw our Overlord Zuzu's masterpiece again ... omg, guys, he is a skating god, THE SKATING GOD! That improved step sequence ... I've never seen something like that before in my life!!! You, guys, who had the privilege to see him live ...  it must have been an ascending experience ... the 4T-3T rippon...omg, a think of real beauty ... everything was just amazing ... Thank you, Yuzuru and thank you, guys, for an awesome night and for those FS nights who has still to come! 

And, Max, please, register already! You are one of as! A true, crazy, evil FANYU!  

 

Kinda late to the party, but I'm very happy that Yuzuru has done SO well in the first ever performance of this season! It's like a miracle SP for another world record to happen and he earned a whopping 112.72 points, wow!!  Can't contain my excitement!!

Now that I woke up and am looking at those lovely protocols again, I've been thinking the only reason judges 5 and 6 didn't give 4T3T a +3 was because they thought: "OMG, I can't just give +3 to all his jumping passes in the first competition of the season, ffs". 

Also, judge 3 was stricter on PCS across the board for everyone, including Javi, not just Yuzu. He gave Javi 8.75 for TR and CO, which were the lowest PCS categories they also marked Yuzu (with 9 and 9.25 respectively) so they're probably just very strict there. They were stricter on GOEs as well. 

LOL at judge 2 being this close to giving him all 10s in PCS. Always that tricky TR score.

Brian had some great inspirations lately regarding metaphors and said before SP that first competition is like doing a first pancake- you don't expect it to be perfect or something like that  

And it seems he really like this pancake metaphor, because this is what he said after SP:
