As a relatively new fan of FS back then, I did not take much notice of him yet, when I attended the 2017 NHK Trophy. Since Yuzu withdrew that time due to reasons that shall not be mentioned, I watched and cheered on other skaters without the usual nervousness of Yuzu competing (although feeling terribly sad the whole day). Suddenly, Uncle Voronov unexpectedly won the competition! I remember cheering loudly for him, his performances at that competition were great. After that, he even went on to make the GPF that Olympic season (and the season after that)! I was surprisingly proud of him. I was watching him at the 2017 GPF live online, and I will never forget that cheeky Seimei tribute at the end of his FS I wish all the best to him in his next phase of life.
