Javi isn't flag bearer this time, as per a Sonia instastory (I didn't check the actual source). He might still go, because he is the biggest face of Spanish wintersports, but he might also stay behind with Yuzu. I, too, wonder if Brian might stay behind with them, or go help Jun who has the extra pressure if home event (and didn't have Brian during his GP event, either, because that's when he got sick). Gabby has her own coach, so she should be fine even without Brian. We'll see, I guess.

I remember at other times before this season that Ghislain went with Junhwan to events, so maybe Brian will stay home with Yuzu/Javi until later...

I have decided that this is also good for my sanity because I can watch an actual Olympic skating event I'm invested in without really dying over it. I'll die a little over the  ladies, die a lot over the men. I'm not really invested in ice dancing, and pairs scares the crap out of me so I'll just die anyway during that. This is good. This could actually be fun, which I understand following a sport is supposed to be.

 

 

According to this tweet, Orser will arrive in Korea on the 5th.

And I can peacefully cheer for Team Russia (no matter how it's called now) though I hardly will get up in the middle of the night even for it.
