[2017/18] 4CC Men - SP & FS

and Boyangs marks are improved in what has been a much more strictly marked competition than we have seen lately

I'm going to look like I've sucked a lemon for the rest of the day now because Boyangman was better.

I mean SS sure but there's more categories to PCs than that and interpretation and performance definitely go to Boyang today in my book

Exactly, and even though it's Shoma's lowest PCS of the season so far, I would have given him lower than 45 for today's skate. Boyang got higher PCS than before but I still think it's not enough high, the program has improved a lot and he performed it very well today.

With all the injured coming back stronger then ever. I have High hopes for our Yuzu. :tumblr_inline_n18qr5AMus1qid2nw:

I saw the last group. It was a good competition!!

Shoma : good program, but the forward flip entry was really obvious to me today... why does he often go travelling on that final spin? It has happened many times... fix it, shoma!!

Boyang: THAT was more like you expect. That flying lutz combo is back.... sorry Nathan, boyang's is better by far... anyway, he peaks at the right time and looks more like a world medallist again. Great job and loved his enthusiasm with his skate.

Keiji : He has improved a lot in the last few years.

Brown: just love all of his actual skating, the details... little mr sunshine

I hope Keiji can bring it in the FS. Loved his short program (also loved his costume). Very unhappy with his PCS. There is no way Jason should be that close to him.

Well back to the coalface, feeling a bit more cheerful than I have for a while

Everybody was judged strictly except for Shoma, who got GOE candy everywhere. Forget the prerotation on the jumps, and the PCS, but the spins, come on. So many 2s and 3s.

Shoma: 4F GOEs range from -1 to 2, CCoSp4 got +GOEs

Boyang: His GOEs are lower than I expected (robbed)

Keiji: the GOEs for his 4S are shameful...

Positive GOE on a travelling spin. Only one -1 (which was ofc conveniently thrown out of the final calculation) for a forward takeoff 4F with a weak landing.

By this time, I am just listing all the nonsense judges do with a flat emotion.

I'm still trying to figure out how Shoma got StSq2...that had to be a pretty serious issue to get DG'ed that far.

As for Boyang, that 4Lz3T was amazing. The 3T landing free-leg nearly had a crash with the board, and if I think his 4Lz looks even...lighter and easier than before. It was a floaty 4Lz.

Seriously...I didn't expect GOEs, at all. >_<

He does do it often, doesn't he? But it doesn't usually matter for his GOE so I guess it's not a priority. He's better off fixing the damn 4T combo.
