Yeah right!  Apparently I need to tune in for for Skate Canada and CoC.  I think not

Agreed. But when I think back about it, I don't recall any other commentators talking about his injury as well? Or is my memory serving me wrong? Also, I find the Glacier arena tweets about Shoma really uncomfortable for some reason.

I wish he mentioned in the live interview after win when all commentators watched to learn. but that is not possible.

last season was "vulnerable", he got all the gold he needed to get...come on:darklordyuzu:

I didn't find any of the broadcasting teams to be overly negative about Seimei. There were many good things pointed out as well as criticisms, which I think are fair considering this was nowhere near where it will be later on in the year. I was prepared for comments that were far worse....

One thing got me: Johnny saying Nathan's 4lutz was the best out there..... grrrrr. Boing boing baby.

Haha, don't kill me, but in practice Kolyada's lutz is the best. For me Boyang's lutz is better than Nathan's too

Chris Howarth really shouldn't do men's commentary while he has a current professional relationship with one of the competitors.

Yuzu, give us a clean 4lz in NHK, and we can defend your 4lz with analysis...

Just watched the cbc broadcast, and it was nice that they gave a balanced analysis on repeat programs, and uncle Kurt must be a yuzu fan, he even mentions Yuzu during Nathan's free.

And everyone conveniently forgets Boyang exists....so he is the real curve destroyer.

Boyang's 4lz is my favourite, though it might change when yuzu lands it clean :10636614:

How long have commentors butchered Yuzu name? Only after the Olympics when they got it correct right?

So she needs to win the Olympics then her name will be said correctly. :slinkaway:

Hamyulla

So... why are many reporters and commentators in the skating world write the REIGNING World champion, the REIGNING Olympic champion with 12 records off?

So, I was confused about why Yuzu lost a level on his Seimei's stsq. For anyone who has the same problem, here's the-real-xmonster's attempt at explaining it over in tumblr.

Oh for heaven's sake. Yeah sure let's ignore under-rotation etc for other skaters but be very careful to pick up on Yuzu's edge work.

I mean, I am all for fair judging, and it seems like Yuzu did have a fair reason to lose that level. What I do NOT agree with is the difference in treatment between different competitors like what the hell.
