Comment from Taisuke Goto of Asahi Shinbun:
“The drawing of Hanyu by the flower skater is so cute. According to Hanyu he was trying so hard to talk to Hanyu saying “Hello, hello.” Hanyu said “His hair was like Plushenko’s. Wish he’ll be a strong Russian skater.””

LOLOLOL

count on Yuzu to notice such things :smiley-laughing021:

Question to consider: since when Yuzuru has started learning thank yous in the language of the country he's competing in? I know he was doing Russian since 11/12 season (those teachers from Russia had a hand in it I guess), and on the Worlds he was going all Kiitos in Finlandia...I wonder how many more thank yous he knows... (if it started in Juniors, it's possible he tried to learn Polish and Croatian- which would be like, super adorable, but also probably super hard for him, as there are sounds that don't exist in Japanese/English there...)

Just got the chance to watch it.

Oh, Yuzu.:snkuyashii:

I can justify Seimei in ACI, because of the restraint on his jumps due to his knee problem. But this?

Someone must have said it already. The whole point of repeating the 2 programs is so that he can start the season comfortable with what he is skating and hence be relatively consistent. This is not looking good. I mean, I will always forgive him whatever happens, but as his goal is to defend his OGM title decisively, he really needs to skate both programs clean.

It happens, though.:snmouchotto:

Yuzu, I will still root for you in the FS, for you to win this competition and the rest of the season, and for you to reach your goal of winning with your cleanly skated programs when everyone also skates cleanly. Take a good rest, practice more of letting Brian do the thinking, and slay!!:snonegai:

apropos of nothing, I posted a quick and dirty translation of the Dutch commentary in the translations topic. :-)

Yuzu’s comment on FS via Sponichi:
“I think everyone would expect me to include 4Lz, and I too expect myself to nail it and deliver the program with no mistake. I don’t want to resist such expectations. I want to take them and the pressure as they are and pursue the victory hungrily.”

Maybe i'm being paranoid but i'm not actually worried about the result of the competition. I'm worried about how it can affect the rest of the season. But i'm sure he's thought about it and the team has a plan :) as a fan i can't help but worry but i should trust his desire to increase the size of his dragon gold hoard. Let's see if that unsaid kuyashii will fire him up for tomorrow instead of pressuring him in a bad way :)

I think it's more 7. A little weird and bent but not too burnt.
