I think Shoma got a level 3 spin and level 3 step seq too Chris said - I'm going to look for protocols...

The PCS gap between Shoma and Nate, I have to snort. Their programs are similarly empty and two-footed but Shoma definitely has an edge in terms of SS and PE, how is there such gap?

And Shoma finally did a 4T-3T combo instead of 2T!!  It seemed like he had a mental block about this and I am glad he has overcome it!  Stephane must be proud coz he’s been bugging him about it!

I love Roncapu. It may end up rivaling Chopin as a fave *gasp* and I never thought I'd say that about another SP. Its hypnotic. 

I actually got a Peacock subscription this year instead of relying on other streams haha.

I'm watching the Primetime coverage with Tara and Johnny (I think there should be a version sans commentary though)... but we'll see how that goes. 

Chris avoiding, with every sinew in his body, mentioning who the WR belongs to (makes me wonder if he knows!)

Yuzu will be at a disadvantage if both are having a good day, because the judging system has been boosting Nate inconceivably to the sky and giving him so much more than he deserves, this entire four years plus. 

 

This sport is just not fair. Yuzu alone can't fight such a corrupted system, no matter how ideal he is as a skater. 

I didn't think Nathan's score would beat Yuzus record in the sp. It's never been better in the sp when both skate well. I would even say the same could happen here, however they skate in different groups... therein lies the reason Nathan may come out on top next week. 

 

You could see how intently Nathan was watching for the score. He knows Nats was not an accurate reflection of what he could get with a clean and backlogged combo program and this gives him an idea. I'd say it might even be disheartening to see he didn't get more considering the quads/layout. Or, he could choose to see it as a positive and that he's finally near yuzu's scores. 

 

Shoma skated very well, he did the 4/3 he often turns into a 4/2... but I can imagine Stephane will be on him about the missed level spin. You need those points in the singles, shoma!!

 

The last group skated very well, with the expected contenders skating as they hoped to....but the first group was pretty rough.
