I worry about this with Yuma - he will never deal with the issues with his skating as long as he’s propped up- such a waste.

Exactly.

See, it's very sad and unfair that Yuzu was always targeted by the judges.

But all the terrible scoring actually pushed Yuzu to perfect and master all his techniques.

He did everything he possibly could to not give excuses for the judges to deduct his scores.

What disgusts me is that now the judges don't even bother to pretend now.

They just crazily inflate the scores of some skaters and push down the GREATS like Yuzu.

The inflation only sends the wrong message to those skaters not to improve, because they don't need to.

They already have the judges on their side who will give them high points even with terrible technique.

It's a waste of new talent and very disappointing to see.

I  just noticed I don't remember who else is in the top 8 but the top 3 and Yuzu.

Look at this beauty, my god the stable axes, heights and flow, with extra tano? Exquisite!

The combo is almost as high as the main jump too! :O

Yuzu before his free on thurs:

You know, about his post SP interview when he said he wonders if he has done something bad, if he was hated by the ice, and that he should do 10 good deeds a day instead of 1 good deed a day... I thought it sounds like he knew these are beyond his control and he was certain he made no fault. However, my pessimist side is fearing that he may think that on top of real human antis (hater fans, feds, judges etc), even the "natural force" dislike him. Someone with real depression may wonder the reason of one's existence if nothing (real or unreal) care for him/her.

He seems to joke over it though so hoping his response is really just him being confident his skate has no fault and not ponder over if anyone/thing is trying to force him into R.

Somebody assure me his mental state is fine!

Hahahaha jfc I will say this again, but judge #3 is trippin'. PCS: Yuzu 44.50. Yuma: 48.25. Jason: 46.25. Nathan: 48.50.

Before there were many flower boys and girls to collect gift on ice, instead why can't we have gap fillers after each performance? XD

I think he is fine mentally because his mom is also there and he will be definitely shown that he is massively supported and everyone understands how unlucky he was. In that interview, right after SP, he had just finished skating and was trying to digest how it happened so it’s understandable that he was confused.

Now that I’m relatively calmer, I believe 100% that he can overcome this and turn this into concentration and revenge energy for a super beautiful FS. I don’t know what will happen but I “predict” and hope he will skate the FS of his life.

edit: btw, he said he isn't afraid of anything. This probably can assure you that he is fine <3

Everyone, the biggest upset is that a skater like Morisi scores higher than Yuzuru Hanyu, when that guy has a nonexistent quad toe. Like cmon, that’s just ridiculous.

And the German and British commentators praising Nathan Chen as the best skater  the figure skating scene has ever seen ….comparing Hanyus skate to the absolute dumpster fire that was Nathan Pyeongchang SP…. I am mad and need to vent.

Outside of the figure skating world, a lot of people know Hanyu. Chen? Maybe . Yuma and Shoma? They never heard of them. Nothing against these three, as Nathan has become a beast when it comes to consistency (a 94 percent success rate with his quads, minus their artistry ), and Shoma and Yuma have great skating skills, which is usual for JPNese men, but WHY LOWBALL THE MOST POPULAR FIGURE SKATER OF THE PAST 2 AND A HALF QUADS like that?

Same. It would be even better if he turns up to do a quad flip and quad loop instead of the triples and breaks the Free WR, but I have to be realistic… I guess

I say his revenge will probably have multiple episodes. Realistically, if he manages to land the 4A here, he had won the history, regarding of the rank.

btw, welcome here! <3 I see we are all salty today lol
