Yes, that's great to be optimistic. I mean, I was watching Helsinki in 2017 live and I never thought he could get the gold that time too, especially with judges never being on his side. If he was Yuma, this would have been a different story. At the same time, he has done some unbailable miracles several times and I do believe he CAN land 4A with very low consistency rate but pulling off 4A now.... would be some Jesus-level miracle lol

But even then, that only puts Yuzu at a 320.08, which Nathan only needs 206.12 to beat. Now, Nathan hasn't gotten there all season, but we all know Rocketman scores higher internationally than Mozart did. And actually, Yuzu's layout maxes out at a 237.60, with a fully rotated 4A, +5 GOEs on everything, and 10s across the board in PCS. If Nathan can get a similar score to GPF 2019 FS, Yuzu would need a 243.74 to beat him. Now to podium, on the other hand... yeah, that would almost certainly do it. (Have I mentioned today that I like crunching the numbers on things?)

I wont watch Nathen for my mental peace My country is televising the FS but not live, a bit delayed (we have the evening news right on FS time so they show it after) and I'm honestly thinking I just won't find a livestream, idk if I have the strength to watch it live honestly lol, especially Nathan (honestly I would not be against a splat fest for final group but I digress)

Yep it was my first live Olympics, I was all like 'Yuzu surely skate clean' and then all his hard work was undone by a hole. In the ice. Bonkers luck omg.

February 8, 20224 yr My favourites didn’t do so well in the SP so I’m not sure I’m good luck tbh. Helsinki 2017 - at this point I was almost catatonic over the SP result. I had to go out to lunch when he was skating the free - did the nip to the Ladies to check just in case of a miracle - he hadn’t managed to skate it clear all season - to find the bloody place was a dead spot for a phone signal. Imagine my euphoria when I got home.

The lyrics about not giving up after setbacks have always brought me comfort and would be suitable for this moment. Although letting it all go and doing a fun programme like LMEY would also be great. Anything is great when it's Yuzu I am actually hoping for a completely new gala program, it’s been a while hasn’t it? If it’s gonna be something old I think hope&LEGACY would be the most fitting.
February 8, 20224 yr I wouldn't mind something new but it feels unlikely that he would be prepped something entirely new while training 4A. I'm still fingers crossed for Haru yo Koi honestly
February 8, 20224 yr I just realized - Yuzu will skate his FS and then it's a 40 minute wait to see how it'll stack up against the current top 3. The thought of having to just wait for that long makes me feel physically ill. And because misery loves company, I'm sharing it with all of you.
