I feel a lot better knowing what the reason behind the pop was, because it seemed so off. He looked fine, in the zone and then "pop", it was just so strange. So, sorry Sal, you are a good friend and not a snake, please be nice to our Yuzu further on.

 

Him not even beeing in the last group is really unfurtunate as well. If the judges dare to do the "earlier group/less PC scores" on him, they all should be fired. I really hope they wont dare to do it, because try to explain this to anyone!

I wish for an olympic miracle for him, that his 4A dream will come true in the free skate and he will somehow get on the podium.

The judges have always given high PCS to Yuzu when he skated perfect clean programs. It's something no one can deny because when Yuzu skates clean it becomes a historical figure skating moment. It's magical. There really is nothing like it. Considering all his clean programs and his WRs, Yuzu shines the most when he skates clean. 

 

Say even if he lands 4A, and the rest of the program isn't clean he won't win OGM unless last group mucks up real bad.

It'll be THE talk in FS for years to come and people probably won't even remember who medal at this Olys. The views on his FS is gonna be staggeringly higher than even his other performances.

Remember the man who invented the Salchow jump. He won the first Olympics in 1908, had to wait 12 years for the next one and... fell on his own jump that cost him the title.

 

Imagine if Yuzu skates a squeaky clean FS with 4A and only loses because of that one pop. That would be the greatest tribute to Ulrich Salchow in history

I didn't know that! Off topic but my hope is that if Yuzu doesn't ratify 4A here that he'll go to worlds and try it.

I bet you he will continue till he finally lands the 4A to his satisfaction. I believe we will be lucky to have another season with him again because 4F needs its moments too.

Logically, my prediction is that he won't land 4A here and my bet is that next season we will see it. Anytime he succeeds, nothing else matters, medal or no medal, history will be written.

Btw is it me or these competitions don't feel like Olympics at all. I think that's why many skaters are skating clean, it feels like watching them doing RT in practice. 

I want another pooh rain again before Yuzu hanging his boots.

Absolutely.  Apart from the anger over scoring and the fact that the comps are actually on TV coverage in my country for once, it doesn't feel like the Olympics (I also miss Javi, doesn't feel the same without Yuzu and Javi zooming around in practice and having fun together)

No, honestly they know they need him to pay their bills. They will lowball and rob him but he has the strong will to land the 4A. He won't leave till he achieves it.

Exactly my thought. Another thing is that, he knows that many people have been unable to see him compete in person because of the pandemic, being an extremely considerate person, he will want to give his fans another chance to see him in competition.

Yeah I certainly hope so. I'll continue to watch him until the day he hangs up his boots and then I'll back off from this sport a bit, except maybe ladies singles
