I'd love to see Seimei honestly. Unlikely, given that it's at the Olympics and he's about to potentially lose his title, but it's one of my all time fave skates of his. I wanna be taken back under that spell

SEIMEI is extremely unlikely. Although he historically has been doing 11.3 tribute programs in Olys so maybe he'd do Haru yo Koi? Or Hana wa Saku?

I was standing holding a pillow when he popped the Salcow.. and i don't know how I ended up flat on my face!!  Exactly like this:  :13877886: I only had 3 hours of sleep and still up!!

So he said few changes, so A3ALo and 3F is the few changes.. -he's never boring-.  Ppl who wanted to see this combination must be excited!!

My head is empty and i still can't believe what happened!!  But let's focus on FS for now and back him up!!  -I should sleep first-...

But knowing I've barely seen Nathan do a clean FS under pressure, I think Yuzu might win a bronze if he skates clean.

I am predicting Nathan to make 1~2 jump mistakes and Shoma to do the same. Yuma, I think has the highest chance of going super clean so I am gonna put my guess that

1. Yuma

2. Nathan

3. Shoma or Yuzu

As the medal contenders.

If somehow Nathan gets pressured to skate last and his mentality breaks, we might get Yuzu to move up a few spots. What do we know about Shoma and Yuma?

They skate near close clean even under pressure. Except maybe Shoma might repeat that idF breakdown for some reason but I think unlikely considering how good his recent condition is.

Oh yeah I know seimei is unlikely, my other request would definitely be Haru yo Koi. It's probably my favorite of all of his gala programs, and brings me to tears every time.

I'm glad that there are people like Shizuka-san speaking up for Yuzu.

Just my rotten luck that I fell asleep right before group 4 skated :animated-smileys-halloween-012::animated-smileys-halloween-012::animated-smileys-halloween-012:

I guess I'll just get myself into Mao at Sochi's mindset :YuzuPoohSad: — I really just want him to have pristine FS performance :smiley-angelic001::smiley-angelic001::smiley-angelic001:

I would be mad if Yuzu skated the performance of his life and not medal like Mao did at Sochi.

God idk if I'm gonna be able to watch the free live, dunno if I'm strong enough to do that (and also not throw a fit at the scoring)

Not to be pessimistic, but I honestly don't think Nathan is under any pressure at all. He has a huge lead from the short and knows that the judges will back him up. Even if he falls, he'll have PCS + GOE cushion. As many have said before, that is probably the main reason why he's gained consistency this past quad, besides the fact that his programs are empty af. If anything, he should feel even more confident after this, now that his one other contender, Yuzu, is down at eighth. Nathan would have to try really hard not to win gold at this point.

I am not gonna calculate his FS scoring potential, but for argument's sake even if his scoring potential could make him reach the podium (and he skates pristinely, so the potential is fully realized) with the current judging situation he might not reach what he should have rightfully reached (under a fair scoring etc.).

I am just trying to salvage good parts from this event atm :deadinside:

He could fall at least twice and be assured that the gold would still be his. It's ridiculous

If he skates his program layout entirely clean including 4A, BV is just over 98. Aka, he could rightfully and easily break 220. But the judges ain't gonna let that happen

Nope, I think in that case even judges can't hold him back. He will podium and silver probably. But I don't know if he can land the 4A, though miracles do exist.

If rest clean with 4A< BV= 95 if 4A<< BV = 93, which means he could likely hit at least 200 overall but given Nathan's outrageous scores podium could still be out of the question even with such a good skate. Ah well, it is what it is. I just hope Yuzu enjoys what he puts out on the ice.

Nathan has won the gold already, no doubts on it.

It will depends on Yuma's 4Loop and Shoma's 5 quads layout. The thing is Yuma steps out of his 4Loop and will get positive GOE, he isn't much less overscored than Nathan lol

I believe bronze is still possible, much possible. But silver and gold, nope both are faves.
