How bad is it that I'm trying to push my wedding to January so I can use my vacation time to go to Autumn Classic? Maybe hell will freeze over and Yuzu ends up at Skate America in Vegas so I can see him after the wedding. Spoiler Thank you for starting the community help thread! I read your post about pushing up your wedding date to be able to attend Yuzu’s competition ! The thing we would do to see Yuzu!!! ACi would be so fun and close by too, not to tempt you but you can really see him up close!! Link to comment
Henni147
When you update Wikipedia tables and other statistics, you always find something that makes you chuckle. Spoiler Yuzu has NEVER made any jump error at ISU competitions with this SP layout yet: Solo jump: 4S Combo jump: 4T+3T Axel jump: 3A All 8 short programs (NHK '15, GPF '15, WC '16, ACI '17, OWG '18, ACI '18, FinGP '18, COR '18) clean {minus one spin blooper} with an average score of 108.40 under mixed judging systems. No other active skater has reached that score in international competition yet. Sure, statistics don't win any competitions, but I'm totally relaxed before Saitama now Link to comment

LOL I'm not too worried about the short free skate is a different story It's strange, but I can't worry about the free. Yet. Way too many question marks at this point. (Sweat will come after the first public practice for sure ) There's one thing that would be really great: Finally some backstage footage with Yuzu and Jason at Worlds. They share the same practice rink everyday, but we've barely seen them interacting since Jason's arrival at TCC (apart from some group pics). I was so happy to hear in Meryl's interview that they have an eye on each other in practice and talk about skating stuff after the sessions. It would be awesome, if both participated in this year's FaOI tour Link to comment

There are even social media pics of him in Los Angeles, he seems to have been there for a couple of days already. I wonder if he took time and went to Disneyland, which is not terribly far from the competition arena. Shoma in Disneyland....that's a lot of cute in one location. Link to comment

LOL I'm not too worried about the short free skate is a different story I'll do the worrying for you no seriously I know in theory I should trust the short more, especially with this season track record. Rationally I know this. But it's exactly because everyone trusts the short and numbers are reassuring that I worry I mean, I usually take for granted the FS can have issues, popped jumps, missed combos, falls, whatever, but the SP is where a skater can literally be buried in the ranks if something goes wrong and it doesn't help that, since I've started watching Yuzu live, only COR17 had a bad SP (not so bad all considered, he didn't popped anything...) while in all other comps it's been a sequence of: Perfect! More perfect! He's BACK! Yay landed all jumps, awesome(spins don't count, ok?) Close to perfect! Whoa even closer to perfect!!! (I'm gonna count "perfect" when Yuzu will stop giving me moments of with his combo) I don't have experience on how to deal with a bad SP the wait and tension and angst of waiting whole 24h before knowing what the heck will happen So...let's say I like to be prepared for the worst Link to comment

I think he is just 18, from what I know they let people in when they are like 20? And will the bouncer block Yuzu? Because he look so youthful Link to comment

I was in the audience and sat close enough that boards obstructed my view and I didn't know the extent of the mistake entirely, and afterwards I couldn't focus on my favorite SP because I was worried so much about the score! It's an experience I never want to repeat again, live or otherwise! Link to comment
