Well... I don't know what kind of story he would come up with, with Memoirs of a Geisha's music... but the music in itself is just wonderful. After all, a skater has to have the delicacy and the beauty in movement that a Geisha has. Even the most masculine skaters. In any case, I think one has to be careful with Les Mis. It's overused music, very Romantic, with very specific musics. I've been the biggest Les Mis fan and I've sang along every piece, with Yuzu-level lyrics memory. But it's hard for me to see a piec that would be right for him. What piece would you see for him? Marius's "Empty chairs at empty tables"? A medley with "Do you hear the people sing" and music from the Barricade fight? Or a Jean Valjean medley, with the "Who am I" theme, and religion?

I hope I will learn to do the waltz jump on ice next year. It seems so hard to jump on ice, it's true that the feeling is completely different. This is why I think judges should make more difference between big, high jumps and smaller jumps. It takes a lot more courage to jump even just 15 cm higher, no?

I can't even go straight standing on one foot going backwards I've tried to emulate a crossovers-like movement going backwards, but I wouldn't consider that crossovers. I am usually all crouched over and bending my back too much and I'm scared of not seeing behind me. I have zero idea how skaters can do things like QUADS while skating backwards. It's just mindblowing. I did try to do a lot of off-ice training though, especially with jumps. I think it's sooo entertaining and funny. I have muscly legs (but I'm not super light), so I guess I have power in my legs but it's not going to be easy to control a jump on ice. I've tried doing single jumps in front of a mirror. The toe loop's pretty easy (and fun, oh so fun), and with the Axel I can't even settle in 1 full rotation properly, nevermind 1 and a half But I definitely understand why Yuzu loves the Axel so much. The feeling of kicking your leg up and over, it feels like a martial arts move, or something. It's amazing. I love it, even if I barely get the feeling of how it really is, properly done. Knees are really probably the most important thing of skating, because they allow you to "save" yourself. One time I jumped, just 10 cm off the ice, but landing on one foot only without putting my weight on the knee properly I istantly fell back and hit my head on the ice. Wasn't very nice. Luckily my head is hard (LOL).

I bet they thought you were going to protest and say Javi was robbed Yes, this was another big reason why I didn't approach them... I didn't want them to feel like they had to help me even if they just wanted to skate and do their own business. But one time, a skating teacher (a young woman) helped me with my crossovers - she taught me how to do them while turning, using my edges, instead of doing them straight with flat edges. It's the prettiest thing I've learned so far

I am sure I will have to work on regaining my balance at least a little I haven't asked around for the price of the classes yet, and I do believe they will be a little pricey. The only skating rink in Rome who's open from Sept. to June costs 6 euros per skating session and 8 in weekends (if you have your own skates). I should have tried to talk with groups of skaters going there every weekend, but I felt very shy because they all knew one another and I didn't know anyone. I was scared to ask things like "Do you follow the competitions?? What's your favourite male skater?? Do you like Yuzuru Hanyu??? "

For the life of me, I can't do 3 turns no matter how many youtube videos I watch! I've always been "on the verge of" learning how to skate, until last year. I have never done ballet or anything that made me particularily aware of my body. I wanted to learn to skate because skating feels like flying and being light and girly and I want to chase these feelings. But, alas, I am in shortage of money and skating is an expensive sport! I wish I could start a proper course in September - I'll try to save up some money to be able to afford it. This last year (since december), I've managed to make myself comfortable on the ice, which is a lot for me, because I always fell on my butt. Like, all the time. I still do fall very often, but at least I know how to stop or turn or do forward crossovers or chasses and very basic stuff. I've been trying to self-learn through youtube, but, yeah, not having anyone who corrects you is kinda hard. At the end of April, I felt like I couldn't progress on my own anymore. But, of course, living in Rome means that there is no ice rink until September. So we'll see how much I will forget this Summer!

There's also the take-off that's different. 4Lo take-off has waaay deeper edges than a 3Lo take-off. I am not very good at identifying jumps, but I'm 95% sure I'd be able to distinguish Yuzu's 3Lo from his 4Lo. The quad has its own unique rhythm when taking-off. I guess, though, it depends on how dark it was... there's only one solution: GIVE US THE BROADCAST NIIGATA.

I've had the same problem for some time! My kiss throwing!Yuzu was wonderful But an ava is an ava so it doesn't really matter much if gifs avas slow down the site traffic or something, I understand why they might give trouble.

I love interviews in which we can see his human side more. I loved the homework part, because we actually know he was a brilliant high school student, but was terrible at homework. I can relate. LOL.
