  1. Congratulations on hitting 10.000 posts on this part of the Forum
  2. If he uses a different cut of music to make a new program with the same theme, it will be perfection for me, because the program will be absolutely loved by both judges and the public. If he uses the same music... I will accept it either way, but would prefer a new cut of music, to receive even more different emotions! Anyways, those prayers he sent were so sweet... I feel like that first Ema was a sort of reply to everyone's letters. I bet most of us wrote about him being an inspiration, a light for us. I know I did, so I am happy. Yuzuru has a way to be close to us even though he's so far away
  3. That graph goes a long way to show who's been the boss for the past 5 years. hehehe.
  4. Aaah now I'm curious. Imma lurk a little on the Japanese thread! (I kinda agree though? I never disliked a single Yuzuru costume tbh)
  5. I'm calling it - a strawberry comeback for the LP I kinda feel like I want him in both cold and warm colors... we only got cold colors this year- and last year as well.
  6. I guess Russian commentators have difficulty understanding maybe, but Sho- in Shoma is just like... "Show" without the final "w" (u) sound. Ma is like Ma. It's not so special of a sound!
  7. That Shoma interview is amazing! I actually feel very much in tune with his view of the sport now. (Is it because he complimented Yuzu so much? hehehehprobably) Hard (impossible) to imagine that anyone would win against a Clean Yuzu. But I guess that has to be your goal, if you want to compete during Hanyu-era, right?
  8. You could link me the live video and give me the minute/second it plays, and I might be able to research with you xD I'm kinda curious now as well. Well, even if the music might come from Seimei-related movies-themes, he would definitely make a whole new program out of it. Something like Romeo&Juliet 2.0 - same theme, different music, different program. I would love something like that But then again, I'd love anything.
  9. I don't know which instrument/synthesiser you are referring to - I guess there are real instruments, but for example the theme that you hear during the first spin of the SEIMEI program is made by a synthesiser. I am not 100% sure, but I think those synths are the same that were very popular in the 80's - because they were discovered around that time in electrical/informatic music, and they're called FM synthesisers. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1DvXBOkO5M In this video a guy shows you what you can do with a FM keyboard from Yamaha. You can do many different things with FM, so it can acquire many different sounds variations depending on the setting. I hope I could help! On another note, I did the thing. I did my version of Seimei 2.0. I actually did it two days ago, then I kept it in the pc because I didn't like it so much. But I saw it again yesterday and at the end I thought that it does its duty: it gives an idea of what a Seimei 2.0 could be like. I think it's enough of a jynx so that Yuzuru WON'T actually go with it. More than a new program from scratch, I've adapted the musics a little to the first Seimei Program, so, as you can see, the structure is exactly the same. You've got the Introduction, the first theme, the Rhythmic Step Sequence (from "Fearless", the movie), then the quiet middle from first half to second half, the second theme (SEIMEI THEME!!!), then the progression to a third, rhythmic and powerful theme that builds up until the very end (from "True Legend", the movie). I hope you enjoy it and I hope to get some feedback hehehehe it's too much fun for me but then I'm biased when I see my own works.
  10. If done correctly and not annoyingly, I wouldn't actually mind skates shots once in a while... like a nice detailed shoot of Yuzu's feet in LGC's StSeq... but of course, then I'd want to see the whole body as well, lest the picture is not actually complete xD
  11. Absolutely! I would definitely give him a call-back for any role he wants! Now I'm left wondering... who was the first who actually came up with the idea to cast Yuzuru Hanyu as the Lord of Sendai? Please give them a life-size monument as well! That person was a genius!
  12. Just one scene! <3 (Notice how he breathes before talking, and by doing so he raises his shoulders for FOUR times in a row But aside from that, he was perfect!!!)
  13. I've seen his scene many times in The Magnificent Nine, he's actually not that bad at acting I must say! It was kind of annoying how he kept taking a breath right before speaking (honestly, the director should have noticed and told him, LOL, Yuzuru couldn't know it would create kind of a 'repetition' mistake), but he kept a nice rhythm with his lines, he is (obviously) cameragenic (can you say this? instead of photogenic? I hope so LOL), and I loved how he used his voice and body! He would be such a good actor if he put his mind on it. Luckily, his mind is already full with skating, but just knowing that this boy is good at everything he does is amazing.
  14. I am Javi in the second photo and Javi in the second photo is me
  15. Well, but it's the same thing, you know. If you skate a perfect program, if all of your jumps are +3GOE (even if you don't give them 3GOE, you know they're perfect), if all the technical elements are superb, if half the public was in tears when he finished skating because of how much they were moved... that 0,25 GOE out of one jump, the 0,75 GOE of that one other jump, all these little underscorings sum up, creating a "massive" underscoring, but could have been filled by a 98, or maybe even 99 Presentation score. I agree 100% with Max on this: the judges didn't have the balls to give him 100, but that's exactly the score he deserved. Never in the history of figure skating we've seen a Program performed like H&L was in Helsinki. To me, the 100 score exists for a reason. Not using it when it's the case, it's just chicken behavior.
  16. Well, 97 wasn't a low number, but if you think about the performance... yes, I'd still say underscored. I think, had he skated clean at the Short, he would have been given higher PCS. Hope and Legacy is still a harder program than Seimei (and I think his jumps in H&L were actually better), so I think it would have been normal to get higher PCS! But it's just a small difference. Yes, Shoma's strenght for now is his 'consistency' which makes him gain GOE's and PCS. Though, his consistency is partly given by his questionable jump technique, so who knows, maybe next year there will be more calls for underrotation or wrong edge and his GOE's will be a bit settled. (I will admit, I am bitter because of his +3 GOE on his 3A, while this year Yuzuru was almost never given +3 GOE in anything?)
  17. I am nerding so much, it's not even real. Thank you so much again for all the info added! To me it's interesting when: 1) You observe Hanyu and Fernandez. Yuzuru has higher GOE in the Short, higher GOE in the Free, higher BV in the Free, higher total score in the Free and higher total GOE combined. BUT, since he has a lower BV in the Short (because he popped his combination so many times) (lower by 5 points, which is not little), he ends up having a lower final score average in the Short (lower by 5 points, which is not little). As a result, Fernandez's PCS in the Free are higher as well, even though his final score in the Free is lower than Hanyu's by 5 points. To me, this confirms what many people have been saying: Yuzuru's mistakes in the Short cost him a lot in the Free, especially PCS wise, and this is probably how the judges justified his 97 presentation score at Helsinki, which, if you ask Max Ambesi, was a scandal. I think Yuzuru thought about this hard, when he decided what program to have in the Short. He knows very well how much his mistakes in LGC cost him, during the whole season. They made him risk the gold at Worlds, they made him lose the gold at 4CC, and so on. I really hope Chopin 3.0 will finally give him the satisfaction to reach his full potential in score, both in the Short and in the Free.
  18. Thank you SO much for the hard work, and hey, this is more than a FANCY graphic! As I suspected, Yuzu's GOE averages are higher than anyone else's, and not even that small of a difference. 4,5 points total of difference between him and Shoma, 5 points difference between him and Javier. This WITH the judges' candies, WITH the pops, with everything. This boy lives on Planet Hanyu. So, we were right to say that the points Yuzu might initially 'lose' in BV, he actually regains through GOE. Even more so, if he manages not to pop as much as he did this past season xD Oh God, you should totally show this to Max. He would love it! This is just one of the many averages that prove Yuzuru IS still the most consistent, and consistently on top of EVERYTHING.
  19. The face in the second pic ohmygosh
  20. I also have faith in Yuzu, and believe he could seel the quickest and hardest Japanese drum rhythm available. There's also this: The thing I'm wondering is how to tie this rhythms with one of the themes from Onmyouji. I think I could play one over the other, if I find a theme that fits. Omg this is my first day of vacation and I'm dedicating all of it to Yuzuru and his Long Program. What has my life come to.
  21. yes make me cry like this will ya Sob I don't know why I get so emotional when I listen to Japanese OST's there's a similar drum solo in the movie 'Fearless', that I thought might be perfect for the Step Sequence. I mean, both the Flying Daggers and that solo are veeery fast, and it would be serious work to insert them in a program, but I think it can be done. It starts at about 2:05.
  22. Ah, well, later, you never know! Though, in Seimei's defense, there's really so much music going on, even outside of the Onmyouji movies. True Legend, the 2010 movie, for example, has a wonderful theme that I think I'll mix in xD Also, the movie 'Fearless'. Luckily, Umebayashi made very different OST's. He's such a wonderful composer!
  23. Oh, my. I've seen BOTH those movies last year. I don't remember the soundtrack, but I think I remember I liked it (LOL). But if we're talking about the theme... mmh... Juliet is one thing. But specifically talking about men playing female roles and talking about sexual ambiguity... doesn't seem like a safe choice for Olympic season
  24. Yes, I read that, but as meoima wrote, I'll believe it when I see it... I like Shoma as a person, but I'm kind of inflexible on the whole "cheated jump take-off". I don't like that kind of behavior displayed in competition. But I understand that he has little choice, since they taught him that technique.
