According to the second Team Brian book, Yuzu trains 3 days, then rests 1 day. So my guess is some weeks he trains 6 days per week, while others 5, depending on how the cycle goes. Javi trains 5 consecutive days per week, and probably does rest both Saturday and Sunday (in the book, it only mentions 5 days and him being free on Saturdays). It's also possible nobody trains on Sundays, but for Yuzu that would ruin the cycle, so I'm not sure. Of course, that was in the 2015-2016 season, but Brian pretty much made it clear that each skater has his/her own custom training schedule, in cycles that best suit them. (He also mentioned Yuna trained 5 days hard, one day just light skating and one day rest.)
sallycinnamon Posted June 19, 2018 Posted June 19, 2018 It was announced today that Ivett Toth's new coaches are Zsofia Tokaji-Kulcsar and Andrea Major, and her new club is Vasas SC (it's a club located in Budapest). Kulcsar is a technical specialist, she sometimes works at JGP events or smaller competitions and she was the coach of Zoltan Toth, who competed for Hungary at the 2002 Winter Olympics. Major is a former ice dancer. It won't be easy in the beginning also because her coaches don't have much experience with elite skaters like Ivett, but she said earlier that she would like to focus more on school because it'll be her final year (which means, that she'll have lots of exams, especially in May/June next year). I understand that she wanted to move back to Hungary because of this, but part of me hopes that she'll have an opportunity to train abroad in the future. I wish her good luck! Ivett posted this on her instagram: 'Thank you that I can be part of the family' source: http://www.nemzetisport.hu/teli_sportok/mukorcsolya-toth-ivett-a-vasasban-folytatja-karrierjet-2642295 ETA: the first article wasn't very accurate. According to the news on the club's website, it's Zsofia and Zoltan Toth who are Ivett's coaches.
