I had a bad feeling since NHK that the injury was more severe than they were making out.... I hope he'll be okay. It doesn't sound good. If it means he'll heal fully, I can live with not seeing him at Worlds. We'll just have to see. The media avalanche is going to be pretty damn crazy for the next few weeks.

I think that is kind of clear in hindsight...seems hard to believe to be *completely* healed exactly 2 weeks before the biggest event of your life. its ok, it's off season now yuzu, please rest for as long as you need and get that ankle to 200% before putting on skates and stepping foot on ice ever again.

i have tickets to milan but i am not even half a bit disappointed that he's (probably) skipping..

does anyone have a recording of the free? or know where i can re-watch? I was too nervous the first time around to enjoy it.

I will upload the NHK version as fast as I can - and then share it ^^

That, too. He'll be flooded with media commitments and it seems like he's ready to take them on

At least those won't hurt his ankle, right?

Fanyu culture is being back to worry and panic mode about him not even 2 hours after he won his 2nd OGM

What an insane morning... I've only just stopped crying happy tears, what a lovely podium we got in the end :tumblr_inline_n18qr5lPWB1qid2nw:

And to think that the injury isn't healed yet... oh god... :tumblr_inline_n18qr5AMus1qid2nw:

He’s definitely not 100%. Maybe in the 60s. It’s unbelievable

a 100% Zu would be like in Helsinki. with his quads all there. But for real, we know that he still cannot do some of his jumps, so essentially we have known for a while that he is not healed perfectly

That's what i want to believe tbh

I'm tempted to say that, it might be that his ankle is still a bit weak, I mean, he only has been jumping for 3 weeks, and having to jump probably prolongs his healing period a bit more, but it doesn't seem like Boston. Also, ligament/soft tissue takes longer to heal than hard parts (bones). Hence it's a good thing he didn't push for Loop-that torque and push from take off would be asking too much.

I'm excited for SENDAI'S biggggggggggggg welcome home victory party 2.0 for him.  :smiley-love017:
