So... I expected it. Sorry, if you let out a technical monster out, it's going to gobble you up - because PCS is meaningless.

There are going to be battles in Russian forums now..

No one's happy for Alina? That's mean...

I am happy for her. She really impressed me, she looked so nervous and yet was able to land everything ,even messing up her combo which she's never done this entire year, and then still being able to come back. She looked like she coudl barely get her legs together and to do that, well i was very impressed. I was also impressed how she could land her jumps right on the note but miss all her little hand flourishes but ...  sorry but Alina >>> Evgenia in jumps and Evgenia >>> Alina in presentation so idk, it was a draw for me. I was also much more impressed with Evgenia's storytelling this time.

I think Kaetlyn should have won gold btw.

Yeah, audience was totally on Med's side. Reminds me a bit of Nice 2012, with subdued ovation for the winner. At least Alina doesn't have to be regretful for her performance, she was pretty brilkiant in hef own way.

Yuzu wanted to prove himself after Sochi - maybe Alina will want to as well?

So fake? Please let's not be THAT kind of fans.

I'm not fan of neither, is just my perception of her sorry if you don't agree or you feel attacked for it. :meditationf:

I feel bad for both of them. Have you heard the public? They waited for Med's win... no one chered for the champion . NO one congratulated her. Eteri chose calmed Evgenia instead. Judges ,what are you doing!?!

And Alina was like "alone" in that room, looking at her doll with no real joy, in her own little world, like a child that  was trying to ignore some fights of the parents or something

Somehow I feel mentally exhausted after watching this...I'm sad for Zhenya, but I think Alina deserves credit too. She's only 15! When I was 15, I was only in school without doing much in life. Let's hope Alina won't get too overwhelmed by the attention she's gotten herself cos of the OGM.

So Alina might go the Adelina route now? But she doesn't seem half as extroverted or charismatic as Adelina... but there's a lot of money and fame and attention to be made as the OGM..she looked so nervous waiting for Med's scores and so happy afterwards. I think her happiness is genuine lol, but she didn't want to celebrate too much.

Poor Evgenia looked soooo sad

Well, I for one am happy Alina won. Prefer her jumps, her program, and her costume. I got tired of Medvedeva’s same same same programs a while back and am here simply for the entertainment. :-)

Scoring for ladies is such a farce.

I mean, I was rooting for Zhenya but because knew it was between her and Alina, and between the two, Zhenya is the better skater now and Alina's PCS are just unfair. Zhenya's PCS was unfair, and still a little too high, but their PCS corridor has been established and this season, Zhenya has developed a lot. Her performance skills are better. She's beginning to deserve that PCS.

But if PCS really meant anything, then Satton's skate today should've stood a better chance. Except for that terribly pre-rotated loop, she did a good job technically, too. And generally in competitions, Mai's technical skills and her artistry should give her comparable scores. Dabin's PCS should be higher. An actually completely unbiased judging panel would give us completely different competitions.

It's going to be hard. She is going to grow, she is going to have new programs and it will take time to skate them "clean" (we saw it with the SP this season) and other young russian girls are waiting for their turn. Let's see if she is going to worlds and what happens there

I think she knows Zhenya is the one more loved by the audience...it's kinda like when Nathan won CoR, but all the love and attention is still on Yuzu. Gala might be awkward
