I really thought they'd give it to Satoko as well,  despite the fall, but they finally got it right. When you fall, the overall impression goes down... and there were 2 amazing programs before that. Their coach must have gotten a taste of what it is like to be Brian, Eteri etc

I was so taken with emotion I didn't even comment here but congratulations on this amazing podium of lovely Japanese women who are a joy to watch everytime.

Just watch it again. More lenient tech panel would not have given it a UR call. 

I am also pretty sure the edge on that 3F is inside.

This is... the first time I'm not bitter after a ladies event this season, this feels so gooooood

I'm gonna comment later on scores but I think placements are correct.

I thought Satoko would be 2nd, but this panel was quite strict and the UR on 3T and 3lz were so obvious. The quality of jumps are so apparent when she skate after Kaori and Mai. The only way she could win is judges give her Carolina's pcs and ofcourse it wont happen. She was underscored in pcs IMO.

I think they all got underscored on PCS. Mai and Kaori only worked out to be about 8.5 PCS scores on avg, which is a tad low- I'd think that Mai should average on the 8.75-9 scale and Kaori would be closer to 8.75. Satton should be averaging 9.0-9.25s as well.

Well...there's a part of me that suspects this might be their scores at PC as well, though if Satton goes clean, she should see a 3 point boost and go over 214 I think-but the tech panel may end up calling her and just her too. Japanese ladies have to pry a top 6 finish out from the cold dead hands of the judges.
