Thinking about it, I don't know why anyone expected a better competion than this.. This is a perfect end for the disaster season we had

repeat the refrain that the only thing that matters is February.

Men's FS has gone to the gutter with the quads, hasn't it?

Now I kinda wish Yuzu sticks to 4-quads at Olys without the 4Lz because he might actually go clean!

I have faith in Yuzu! Lots of people say that it's not possible to have an artistic and clean program with 4 quads, but Yuzu proved them wrong with H&L, with 2 quads in the 2nd half!

And I feel that the tweet should say "Yuzu's streak of GPF win gets interrupted by his withdrawal at NHK"....cos no matter who won, his streak gets interrupted anyway.

hahaha the medals match with all the guys outfits

Maybe that's why Yuzu is going for extra shiny gold with this season's costumes :xD:

I saw more URs in both programs than just two. And again, both PCS's are two high.

Step by step, honey (sorry, actually, cinnamon^^)-first, we praise them for calling the most obvious URs even we, the people following FS for year/less than a year can see, then gradually train them to a level of advanced fans they were supposed to be at as the so-called "specialists". Then, at last we remind them that PCS does not stand for 'Please a Candy for Skater?' but for Component Score, and, by the time of 2052 we have almost normal scoring...provided ISU do not mess in with our plans again

disaster grand prix season! don't jynx it :peekapooh:

That's what I meant, which is why I said ending... I am hoping that the bad luck is over with the GP series and we will get a stellar second half of the skating season :smiley-angelic001:

Very underwhelming final. Yuzu made the previous four so exciting. It's like they've all lost their ultimate goal .

those are the most obvious ones tho  I knew they won't call the others no matter what

If everyone had performed well I would've felt more sad that Yuzu wasn't there but part of me is glad that he didn't have to join in the splatfest.....

The storm in the livestream chat when shomas score was revealed was funny though, I was convinced that he'd won it but I guess you never know...

I wonder what impact today's results will have going into PC, if any.

With this win, Nathan hasn't lost a single competition this season. But we also know that this GPF win has an asterisk attached to it and it was an extremely narrow win.  Which is also why I feel that the US federation seem more excited than Nathan for this win. Not sure how this will pan out.

I would say both Nathan and Shoma have the greatest momentum going into Olympics, but their scores were much higher in the early half of the season. Does this mean that they peaked early, or was the over-scoring just too over the top?

This February will get interesting :slinkaway:

I was sure he won as well because they never call his under rotations so it was a shock when the score came up and he lost 6 points of his TES

....COR unclean seimei was better. The urge for alt gpf is strong for the mens.

My browser crashed under the mountain of salt and I missed the medal ceremony. My stupid setup can't handle Planet and live stream at the same time.

So... Looks like Nathan is human and feels pressure. US media, and skating fed, please take note if you want the lad to do well at the Olympics. He is human and a really young person, not a quadding balleting robot.

Shoma's UR, when combined with pre-rotation, makes me wonder just what the definition of a quad is. And if the tech panel is capable of seeing UR, I'm even more annoyed about the SP non-calls. But JSF, would you like to be nice to Yuzu now? Splitting the hype between the two of them will only help your boy, too! Who is adorable, even if I do not like his free at all. While you're at it, please save a little bit of that push for poor Wakababy.

*sigh* Jason and his jumps. Never give up, Jason! At least you finally made the final. Adam and his lutz, too. Did he offend his lutz somehow?

For a 94-year-old, Voronov has marvelous form! And at least Mikhail looked happy...

What a miserable competition it's been. Junior ladies to the rescue, I hope.
