I think it isn't a fight anymore... Satoko will go, was probably going no matter what she did here... and Wakaba is in the GPF... if someone else wins it, though, that would be the only other way someone else is going...

It's quite interesting that JSF is pushing for skaters with technical flaws that aren't easy to correct in both men and ladies... And the rest needs to fight for what they deserve alone

It is good to see both Satton and Kaori smiling. I think Kaori should have gotten gold, but at least the Japan ladies weren't robbed in the name of Europeans like normal... Both have their rightful places at the top of the podium

With the exception of Ashley's withdrawal and Gaby's FS, this is the type of competition It's ok to have iffy landings or mistakes, but no splat fest or pop concerts please...

And Satoko is first alternate for the GPF... which is likely if Med pulls out, which is very possible... it's done.

 

And no URs for Satoko at all... when you could see one in the slow motion for sure... we now know JSF was doing some serious politicking here to try to get someone into the GPF at home. Happy Wakaba is in but she actually didn't need hep considering what unfolded here with Polina and Ashley.
